No worries. Totally forgot a step, namely that BtS wasn't detecting its own updates and it was in fact was not on 3.17!

Do mind that 3.19 is the latest version. The mod won't work on 3.17.

BTW, I recommend to update manually. There are some troubles with the ingame updater.

This is not a bug, but since whoever builds the Apostolic Palace cannot found Orthodoxy, Ethiopia gets to found it in almost all 3000 BC games -- who else but Byzantium would build the AP? Rome's always dead.

That's interesting because I killed Ethiopia in my current 3000 BC game, so I have no idea who will get Orthodoxy, because it won't be me as I'm a lot behind everyone in techs.

Whoever builds the apostolic palace cannot found orthodoxy as long as there is an alternative option. I have founded orthodoxy as Rome or Ethiopia when I built the apostolic palace, because there was no competition :D.

I, as Catholic Egypt, got the Orthodoxy! That was an incredible turn of events and the Seljuq destroyed the arabs for me, so I could snatch the Masjid in Mecca too. This game is becoming quite interesting now.

I second this observation. Christianity should really be founded as Orthodoxy and Catholicism -- the moment one build AP, as proposed here. This solution will free us from artificial Holy City relocation. And artificial situation where Church of Nativity is in one city while new Holy City cannot have it's shrine in it anymore. St. Peter's should be legitimate Catholic shrine with income representing tithes.

On the unrelated note -- is there something wrong with the names of Russian cities? Rostov is replaced with Sverdlovsk? And Uralsk finds itself on Volga river, not Ural river next to it?

Spoiler :

There does exist a relatively small city named Sverdlovsk in the area.

The Volga/Ural names are screwed up, yeah.

Not really a bug but more of an annoyance.

But completing a UHV on the exact year it is to be done results in a goal failed.

Feels bad man, I thought it was a more of a "clutch" moment :)

What about the Orthodox holy city which should be relocated from Jerusalem to Constantinople?

No such thing. It will stay forever in Jerusalem or any other city where Christianity will originally appear. Which should make it desirable target.

That city was always Rostov, it even got a Clam, after Wheat was moved to Moscow.

Started a game as Mexico, I am at war with Spain, but not Spain's vassal Portugal! Bug?

better this way than the other way around (at war with vassal not with master) because this way you can actually sue for peace when you want to^^)

but I have found one bug myself:

doc-culture-bug.png

Constantinople is not the most cultured city because the city with the 3rd-most culture has more than the 2nd-most? Or does it just always display that city's name if some other city beats out my capitol in that regard? Oo

if anyone could tell me what this means for me ingame: do I need a higher culture than the 1st-place or a higher amount than the (random) amount the game attributes to the Egyptian city?

Let me report the first Canadian bug. The estimated time is 755 minutes in 3000BC scenario and 200 minutes in 1700AD scenario, so I have to wait half day to load the game :D
