Is there anything of 1.11 left on your PC?
 
After a civilization collapse in to independent cities, you only need to capture one city in their core to revive the civilization. I did this to Congo when playing Ethiopia.

Alternatively, you can make small civilizations stronger by killing them first and then release the cities. They'll get better techs and many more units. (Although I don't know why I would do that:crazyeye:).

Releasing Persia to stop Iran from spawning also seems pointless, hmmm.

Perhaps then more than one city needs to be captured before respawn is possible? although this should depend on core size/how many cities are in the core.

I've never tried that method, I usually just revive civs if they collapse way too early or just at their historically appropriate times (maybe Modern Greece can be worked in as a Greek respawn? anything to weaken the monster that is the Ottomans).

Persia should probably have a fall date before Iran's spawn so that you can't bring Persia back after a certain period of time (i'm thinking right around the Arab conquest, or maybe even the Seljuks).

The AI needs all those units to avoid from being retaken. In one game I was playing as Prussia I had already conquered the territory for the 2nd UHV, but when Italy respawned around 1950 or so it took nearly my entire army to defeat their respawn stack in 1-2 turns, i'd say that's pretty good in terms of keeping them alive.

Another way to mitigate the issue might be to prevent war on respawned civs for x amount of turns.

All seem like ways to make AI civilizations stronger, which is a player action I wholly approve of :)

Okay, the disappearing core and impossible respawn problems were indeed related and are fixed now.
 
Interesting bug with the wrong city assignments during congresses. They happened due to an error in the implementation of the refusal dialog. They all happen in a row, with every dialog starting the next one, and I always passed on the claimant ID from the first dialog instead of using the claimant from the actual city assignment. Fix is in the SVN.

I clicked on the link for the bue marble pack in the "welcome to dawn of civilization" thread, but it didn't work. It opens a page with this message: Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator.
 
Had to empty my attachment folder recently, it's available again now, sorry.

Do you remember 0 population Manila that I've posted before? It somehow returned to normal status without artificial intervention.
 
1) Great Spies don't have civ-specific names.
2) Python exceptions please.
3) Great, by the way I've changed the DLL so that the lowest population a city can be set to is 1. Should take care of this bug wherever it came from.

Well, I tried deleting an old 1.11 Mod folder in a different folder that I thought may have been the problem, but when trying to load DoC, I ran into a whole crapload of errors. I'm pretty sure they were all in the XML, (IIRC)some had to do with Corporations, some had to do with barbs, but I eventually ran into an endless loop of civic errors, all saying that Civic X was in the wrong Info Class.
 
Doesn't sound good, you might have to delete everything you have related to DoC and then unpack again.

In any case, I'm afraid I won't be able to salvage that game. So if you can't get around it by reloading a couple of turns earlier, I fear you have to restart.

P.S: modules are just awsome! I propose you to incorporate them fully to the mod.
Why? Choice is always better imo, and it makes sense to break some of the graphics stuff apart or the download would be over 1GB.
 
Did we enter to v. 1.12 without proper graphics for Theodosian Walls? I get an ugly red bulb.

The independent city Cherokee(hair tampons, sorry) initially had 100 population and 100 culture. After I took/liberated it 10/9 times, city nationality has become 100% Egyptian and 118% independent, and I have 2302 culture in it.

Need some fix on that.
