I think most of the people around here could care less about peoples sexual preferences, even those routinely called 'bigots'.

Bigots never believe that they're actually bigots. For example, those who think that black people are perfectly decent people, but they wouldn't want one of them to marry their daughter because it would somehow corrupt the family's bloodline, are bigots.

They will swear up and down that they don't hate black people. Couldn't care less about them. They just don't want them having certain marriage privileges....
