Can the News of the World thread be moved?

Given the spate of recent developments in the NotW investigation - separation of NI and News Corp, Murdock standing down, the plethors of new charges first for perverting the course of justice and today directly for the phone hacking - can we have the thread moved back into some part of OT?

Is there another thread I'm, brainfarting over?

Is there some protocol that a new thread should be made? It's certainly threadworthy but it seems a bit of a shame to break it in half.
