About a quarter of the room I'm in now is Maddy's space, whether it's her litter box area or the drafting table by the window where she either sleeps or uses as a way to get to the window to look outside (that's an argument I lost), and the top of one of my yarn boxes. There's part of the kitchen that is Maddy's Space, and she takes up as much or as little space on/in my bed as it pleases her to take, so long as we both fit and I'm not trying to read a book. She doesn't give a damn that I can't see through her when I want to watch TV.

Longcat vs. Tacgnol is a meme that some people at Cheezburger believe in. But some of the people in my friends circle established Black Cat Day, for which we make lolpics depicting the good qualities of black cats.
Honestly, if I hadn't adopted Maddy, she would have ended up at the SPCA, and probably have been put down as unadoptable just because so many people have such dumb superstitions about black cats. The guy I got her from was worried I wouldn't want her because of her coloring, and extremely relieved when I told him that would not be a problem and that I love black cats.

Morning waiting on phone call from the vet. Sucks do bad. We don't know if she survived the night. Even if she did all we have to look forward to is going in to say goodbye.
10 months ago we thought something was up but vet couldn't find anything and Blood tests were fine.
