Chuck Norris tells it like it is

So says the obviously mixed-race celebrity.

I wonder how many Americans would call Morgan Freeman white, much less Barack Obama? Or why his being a mixed race instead of "black" is even important to Morgan Freeman?

Look, it's simple. Obama is basement cat, Romney is ceiling cat. Choose your destiny.

So you actually think we won't have had a black president until all his ancestors were black?

This seems to be "quote a wacky celebrity" week.

Sure thing Henny Penny.

As VCRWAgent pointed out, the left has a huge amount of entertainers that think they are politicians. Its not even close in comparison.

 "The left". You mean the democrats? Sure, they have their spokespeople, and they're just as full of themselves as wannabe-action hero Chuckie here.

But he has a point. What if somehow the evangelicals who didn't vote can be stirred up enough to hit the polls? Landslide for Romney?

true enough, but are their any celebs that support Obama (or oppose Romney) that are in the same area of off-the-rocker-ness as that (1000 years of darkness and all that )

if there are it would be kinda comic to pit them against each other: loony celeb face off or something :)

Jon Stewart "tells it like it is":

I may not agree that the state of the country is quite that dire, but I think Chuck Norris just pitched the awesome premise for a new Chuck Norris film: One man stands between America and a thousand years of darkness. And that man is 72. Chuck Norris is Texas Ranger Walker.

He has certainly backtracked a lot on that particular topic.

Go back 10,000 generations and we were all black.

Were we though? I was under the impression that we all started out kind of brown coloured, and black people became darker and white people became paler.
I mean, a lot of Africans aren't even that dark, like in Libya for instance.

Also, Chuck Norris seems like kind of a moron and the memes about him stopped being funny a long time ago.

All of the documentaries I've seen have our roots being black. Originating either in South Africa or somewhere in the Rift valley.

But as for Chuck, he would have done better if he said "If you don't vote for Romney, I'll roundhouse kick this country into 1000 years of darkness".

Most Libyans have a fair amount of European and/or Middle Eastern Ancestry if you go back far enough, so they may not be the best example. You are right though that there are plenty of African peoples that are not particularly dark. Most of the dark skinned peoples are descended from the Bantu peoples that originated in West Africa and spread out to dominate the continent less than two thousand years ago.

I believe that the general scientific consensus is that the common ancestors of all modern races would most closely resemble the Khoisan peoples. Their skin tone is actually quite close to that of the mixed race Obama.
