Chuck Norris and his wife have just release a video detailing just how critical this election is. ( article link - video is at bottom of post )

Chuck Norris and his wife Gena have released an anti-Obama video on YouTube, saying that the president has brought the nation to the brink of socialism and making ominous predictions about the future of America if he is re-elected.

In the video, Chuck Norris quotes from a 1964 speech given by Ronald Reagan to say that Obama “will sentence (our children) to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness,” NBCNews.com reported. Norris warned that America “may be lost forever if we don’t change the course our country is taking.”

The video is a call to action for the estimated 30 million Evangelical Christians who failed to vote in 2008, allowing Barack Obama to win the presidency by 10 million votes.

He references a remark by Reagan about how our freedom is always just one generation away from being lost, that it must always be fought for. So what say you? Is this the tipping point? If Obama wins, are we destined to slide down that slope of socialism and oppression?

"...to go the way of socialism, or something much worse"? Don't tell me ... zombies?

So VRWC, do you think Obama being elected for a second term will plunge America into a millennium of darkness? Do you think Norris really thinks this?

This video has more in common with a rapture prediction than a political message.

Me? Personally no I don't think that. I have no reason to think Chuck does not think that, however, as that's what he's saying and I don't like accusing people of lying ( *cough cough* you ryan haters out there reading this? *cough cough* ) when there is no evidence of that being the case. He seems quite sincere.

Now, could Obama be the first step rather than the plunge? Maybe... but the thing is, I don't doubt Obama thinks he is doing right by the country. It's just that, well, he's wrong.

To me, what is truly scary in this unending hyperbole is the notion that evangelical and fundamentalist Christians can have even a far more pervasive influence on our supposedly secular political system than they already do. That if the all do actually vote that it may cast this country into "a thousand years of darkness".

Let's hear from even more B-actors about how their way of life is being so threatened by science, logic, and reason.

Isn't this coming from the same guy who wanted to be the president of Texas?

I wasn't particularly impressed when Regan talked about the end of the world, and he was a much better communicator than Norris.

While scary, I'm not certain if it should come as a surprise. Eschatological politics is the fundament of the US's Middle East policy after all. Well, that and oil.

Well then, how is he telling it like it is? It all sounds like crazy talk to me.

Is Norris even relevent anymore? I feel like his pop culture bonafides kinda petered out in like, 2010, 2009. He didn't seem to help Huckabee all that much.

Oh, the title?? Well I just thought it played into the Chuck Norris mythos that Chuck can do no wrong and whatnot.

Well clearly, as everyone know, Chucky is a complete idiot.

The very idea that Obama would have anything to do with socialism is ridiculous on the face of it. And anyone who says he does is either a liar or a .

Oh, it's the make-a-ludricrous-prediction-about-a-politician-you-don't-like game? Ooh ooh, I've got one!

If Romney is elected, America will slide into a dark age in which civilization as we know it disappears and cannibalism, human sacrifice, and necrophilia reign supreme.

Who's next?

If America is on the brink of Socialism I'd really like to know what kind of political and economic system I am living in...

Surely it is some devil governed post apocalyptic wasteland?

If you vote for Romney, the Nostradamus prediction that a republican president will rise over the dark one, and to raise a demonic army to crush babies and Jesus will come to fruition.

Look, it's simple. Obama is basement cat, Romney is ceiling cat. Choose your destiny.

Well, to be fair, all the glood and doom the Dems predict if Romney gets elected wont happen either....

Quite. When I was there, I saw people actually conversing with the homeless! I also saw piles of dog excrement with little German flags in them! And the bakeries actually sold bread! Verily is Germania a hell on Earth where patriotism is hated and the homeless are treated as humans.
