meh
If you double move someone, it is fairly likely that you could get double moved next turn. Remember that.

Raisin Bran said:oh ... well I saw it a general playing rule. tribal village steals can also be made using double moves without having war.
anyhow a ruleset looks better and more important when laws have amendments
edit : ignore amendment i re-read the bclg proposal and I agree with that !

On the subject of "double moves", it sounds like everyone has one day to enter their move for that round, then at a certain time (Midnight, I assume) the moves are executed for everyone? And that using a "double move" is to issue orders for a unit, or for your empire, for two rounds to happen at once? What happens if two people both move stacks of units onto a hill, without knowing the other person was going to. (They're at war) Do their stacks fight for it to the death? Who get's the defense bonus?
Forgive my ignorance; I've just never played a game quite like this before. It sounds like a very interesting experience, though. (Assuming I'm not crushed hopelessly early on - what level do most of you play on?)
Ok, thanks. That's much clearer now.IglooDude said:It sounds like that, but it isn't. Each person can log in at any time and do their moves during that turn, and their moves are executed immediately, just like singleplayer. The last person to log in and finish their turn (or the turn timer expiration) means that the pitboss server starts the next turn, and plays the AI (if any) turns immediately.
The double-move bit results from that - a player can be the last one (or close to it) on turn 100AD, then stay logged in or log in again on turn 150AD and do another move, before his neighbor has responded to the 100AD moves.

I tried everything I knew and nothing worked.
Igloo if you have any solutions that would be good![]()
IglooDude said:Define "can't connect" - error message? timeout? and at what point in the connection?
Did you doublecheck the IP? Are you able to connect, yourself? Is he able to connect to any other game?
*as he slips into IT troubleshooting mode*
Javy said:I timeout every time I try to connect. same thing in internet games.
Raisin allowed the port 2056 open.
Even with my firewall down.
It wont connect.
Cool sounds goodIglooDude said:I'm waiting for BCLG to get back to me, and I'm trying to give our potential 17th player as much time as possible to join in. So, 20 minutes from now at the earliest, and 7AM EST tomorrow morning at the absolute latest.
I will post here when it does launch, in any case.
