[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

The files should already have been dowloaded to everyone that received the second 5.04GB hotfix update. You should have a folder called "GreatNegotiators" inside the game's DLC folder. It's just a matter now of Firaxis working through everyone to determine who meets the requirements to activate the DLC (i.e. show that they own it).
see this, so how much we have to wait?

This isn't patch notes, I don't know why the thread was called as such

This is from the Great Negotiators Website on Civ page.
Because that's where they've always posted the patch notes. It's no different then they've done in the past. Sometimes it's more detailed and other times less.

Hmmm... just went one by one through all the possible fixes for OS Error 4294956486, and nothing has done anything yet. Just can't open the game at all since buying the New Leader pass this morning.

Patiently waiting for Firaxis to realise Linux does exist.

The information is from this page: https://civilization.com/leader-pass/packs/great-negotiators/

An official update is usually posted as a blog post https://civilization.com/news/entries/civilization-vi-april-2021-game-update-available-now/

So the two are not the same... if I'm being pedantic about it.

Odd. The launcher is now recognising that there is a leader pass (I own 3 of 4 items of content, so base, XPs and NFP now, whereas before it was 3 of 3), but Steam has upped the price from £17.99 to £19.99.
It's now back to £17.99.

Often the information posted in both the overview and blog posts contain much the same information. You can look at the Portugal thread for an example - https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...-patch-notes-discussion.668664/#post-16059676. At this point it's splitting hairs, and in lieu of something more detailed the information in the Great Negotiators overview is the best we have available.

I'm getting this code too. Are you on Mac by any chance?

Same here, and the New Leader Pass is still showing as for purchase in the store, even though I own all DLC. I have only had one update, which was under 500MB, which I downloaded shortly after 1pm. No further updates since then.
I'm making an educated guess that you will not actually "get" the Pass, but rather be eligible for a free upgrade to Anthology that includes it at no extra cost.

OK thought I was tripping but "good" to know that everyone else is having the same problem here. I own all DLCs and all content and was close to buying the $20 pass but then remembered them saying something about it being free for me so went here to check

For the serious gamers here, how long does this kind of patch usually take? (as in patch to make it free for Anthology owners + owners of ALL content). Like is this is a 24-hour kind of fix or can it be done in hours? AKA do I sit by my computer and click Next Turn or should I pull a Barbarossa and make my day productive

Both possible. Maybe it's small issue on their side and once they find it, they will roll out hotfix. Maybe it's bigger issue to solve on their side and will take a while. Maybe they have to ask Valve for support and then it will take even more time to communicate between those two and resolve it.
