[NFP] Civilization VI: Possible New Civilizations Thread

The worst of all worlds: Wilhelmina's "why won't you tRaDe WiTh Me???" and Dido's/Gitarja's "don't you settle my coastline!" :p
There is also Chandragupta "you dare to exist where I do" and Victoria "you dare to exist where I don't" :p
Did you guys really forget Pedro II constantly whining about you trying to win the game-I mean collecting Great People. :P

So a new map type in March Pack will be an exploration/colonization type map like Terra but the staring continent will be the smallest one with all luxury resources on the other continents?

Anyway, I will go for an ultimate naval brawl with Portugal, Netherlands, England, Phoenicia, Indonesia, and Maori.

Not sure. :dunno:

Well If the last one had hills, maybe the new one will have barriers made of tremendous amounts of (rain)forests
Welcome to Jumanji. :mischief:

I put him in the same category along with Menelik and Pachacuti wanting everyone else to be content with flat land. I'm sorry but the majority of civs needs hills and mountains. :p

Does the final NFP DLC needs R&F? If not then Portugal will probably don't have loyalty bonus for anything on the foreign continent.

Also, which CS would replace Lisbon would be an interesting guess.

Copenhagen seems the likeliest to me. Birka might be a possibility, too (I already checked--it's not on Sweden's city list).

Good bye, Feitoria.
A Vampire Castle-type Feitoria as some have speculated is still within the realm of possibility.

Genoa is also a possibility, as well as Florence.

I came back from watching Porto beat Juventus and now this. It's a good evening.

I'm back to thinking these supposed leaks might not be unintentional. With this reveal, content for every DLC was revealed in advance.

One more week, you mean.

Turns out it was only a few hours, lol.

Anyway, I love how they at once go with an obvious choice as Civ, but not with an obvious leader. What an interesting choice. I didn't get Manuel I but I'm glad they didn't go with the safe approach of John II or Maria II.

Did anyone guess John III? @Alexander's Hetaroi? I remember seeing one of the Johns in your signature.

As for Zombies mode, I'll wait until we know more about how it will be implemented. I mean, we did ask for pandemics...

I know I'm going to recycle this joke for at least the third or fourth time, but Firaxis is subverting expectations better than Darth Rian. Joao III is an interesting choice, but he was certainly competent enough to warrant him being in the game.

X-Files Theme plays...

I'm not so keen on the vampire castle idea, mainly because I'm kind of tired of yields.

Perhaps something akin to Temple of Artemis. You get access to unimproved luxuries within a given range of a Feitoria. To make it awesomely asymmetric, this improvement can only be built outside Portuguese territory, making it the only improvement (I think) that works like that. Maybe even a minimum range from the capital (like 6 tiles).

Basically Civ 5 Feitoria more nuanced.

Also, as a fun fact or something: there are the new achievement icons, they lasted 3 hours.

The little Portuguese emblem background looks dope.

It does not need expansion mechanics to play. However it could be like Ethiopia that if you have GS the UU would replace the courser and the UI is immune from natural disasters, can be placed on volcanic soil.
I could see the UI apply loyalty if playing with an expansion, similar to how they added it into the Royal Navy Dockyard and Mission infrastructure.

Also I think Copenhagen is the best bet to replace Lisbon.

Good bye, Feitoria.
As others have mentioned a Feitoria could possibly be built in neutral territory and gain yields of surrounding territory which would make them unique. I'll also throw out a padrão as a possibility as well with the same ability.

I said Joao II who was the leader in Civ 4.

To build on that, the Portugues Achievement regarding the Trading Posts is basically Portugal Overseas if I'm reading this properly.
