Probably because this is the "Possible New Civilizations" thread. You seem to be implying that I have the grudge because I want the Greco-Bactrians in the game, which I don't. I don't know where you got that from.![]()

First, he was Byzantined. Now, he's going to be Portugaled.
You mean Vatican City'd.And Italy'd.
I don't think Italy would take any aspect from Spain and make it 10x times better. And Italy'd.
Yeah I, and most people, definitely wouldn't expect an Italian Inquisition.I don't think Italy would take any aspect from Spain and make it 10x times better.
Probably because this is the "Possible New Civilizations" thread. And because I do want a Central Asian civ in the game--and I don't want it to be Greek.

I'd like to see the Parthians replaced the Scythians as the Eurasian Steppe horse archers in Civ7, but I'd also like to see a settled Silk Road Central Asian civ like Sogdia or Kushan. (A Kuchean or Agnean civ would be so much fun, but alas, we know virtually nothing about the people beyond that their languages existed and they were evidently a mix of of Buddhists and Manichaeans--both pretty normal along the Silk Road.)I'd kind of like the Kyrgyz led by Manas. Mainly because I made a mod design for the Kyrgyz and my older sister (who is a linguistics major) read the Epic of Manas.
The Parthians or Kazakhs would also be neat.
Because they chose Basil II as leader, I understand why they designed Byzantium the way they did but I think there were a multitude of different directions they could have gone other than domination by religion, even with him as leader.
IDK. Constantine was less of a conqueror and more of a reuniter of the Roman Empire. The Religion aspect would work, but it would need something more to do with domestic affairs than external conquest.I think Basil's design would fit a Roman Constantine the Great perfectly, FWIW.
I'd rather Toussaint Louverture, but Jacques certainly has his merits.Caribbean: Haiti (Jacques I)
Matilde de Canossa would be a better choice, IMHO.West European: Renaissance Italy (Lucrezia Borgia)
Matilde de Canossa would be a better choice, IMHO.
Only if he's played by John Rhys Davies.I'm half-considering just making the Italian leader Da Vinci and being done with it all.
Speaking of Ireland I do think that can be a happy medium between Scotland and Gaul as the Celtic representation for Civ 7.![]()
Picturing a physical ring in which we tussle for our most-wanteds. Watch me as I enter, wrapped in red, blue, green and yellow.By the way. It must be fun to see all our "brawls" for possible new Civs from Your perspective![]()
Watch me as I roll in a 20 ft. high roll of flags which I will use to steamroll the opposition. What can I say, everything is my favorite.Picturing a physical ring in which we tussle for our most-wanteds. Watch me as I enter, wrapped in red, blue, green and yellow.
Why rewrite and spoil something that works goodEh, again I think if we took the Venice model as a jumping off point and heavily modified it to fit Italian flavor, it could work.
ekhm. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venetian_Holy_Inquisition As it is said all roads lead to... Venice guys. SorryYeah I, and most people, definitely wouldn't expect an Italian Inquisition.
