I think banning them from supermarkets would be more productive - no one can live without food, and heckling should have consequences

Punishing citizens for no criminal behavior is surely not a good idea and one would hope the company can be challenged in court and lose such a case.

Travelling on aircraft isn't a right and if you harass other passengers its not unreasonable that the airlines aren't going to want you on their aircraft.

Sorry, by "heckling" I thought some public event was alluded to. If it was on the plane I couldn't imagine the speech happened there - but yes, on planes I certainly agree people who cause trouble can/should be banned by the company.

Free speech doesn't actually cover any sort of verbal harassment. It falls under the "fighting words" exception. I guarantee you every state in the union has statues against this sort of behavior.

The Impeachment is more about codifying that Trump went too far. It's not a distraction, even if there's benefit to the distraction elsewhere.

Another potential benefit of the Impeachment is that with the Sword of Damocles hanging over his head, Trump may be discouraged from engaging in any further, possibly worse mischief, because he knows that it will increase the chances that more Republicans will defect, and vote to convict him. I regard Trump's more recent hostage video calling for "no more violence" as a direct result of the threat that the Impeachment poses. It certainly isn't the result of thoughtful reflection and/or remorse.

Its worth noting that the "trial by combat" that Giuliani is expressly claiming was the inspiration for his comment... resulted in the immediate, absolutely brutal deaths of both combatants... and indirectly, the deaths of both Tyrion's girlfriend and father, and ultimately Tyrion's niece, and one of the combatant's girlfriends, along with her three daughters. So nine people total... four more than the MAGA coup itself.

So if Giuliani was trying to minimize his culpability in the MAGA coup deaths by bringing that up... good job... idiot.

LoLs... GoT is most certainly like a soap opera, except that its like a soap opera that takes place inside a LotR-ish world, where they actually show all the sex, nudity, blood, violence, heads getting chopped off, people getting incinerated to a crisp, etc... you know, all the good stuff that a typical soap opera leaves out, in favor of endless boring talking and melodrama.
