Completely Dumb Ideas

DoC is too easy. Add a God+ difficulty with it's own unique features.

-Europe and the rest of the world get overrun by barbarian invasions very frequently, often at unexpected places. Specially Europe.
-It is almost impossible to get a reputation above 0
-The Seljuks are made much stronger. They are also scripted to invade Europe and even when Turkey spawns, they never collapse.
-Remove the independence feature. It is the silliest and it ruins first and third points.
-Seljuks build Galleons and sail to America. You know what happens next.
-New civilization: North Korea.
UU: Handsome leaders, replaces great general, 30 strength and 3 moves. 100% strength against Americans or anyone with Defensive Pacts on them.
UB: Same as Korea because I don't feel like going stereotypical or racist. Also I'm too lazy to investigate.
UP: The power of nukes. Speeds nuclear missile production by 100% and doesn't need uranium.
UHV 1: Conquer the area known as South Korea by 1950.
UHV 2: Have 50 nukes by 2000
UHV 3: Declare war on the U.S and get conquered by 2020. However if you conquer South Korea AND the U.S it also counts.

Once it spawns Korea is renamed to Worst Korea (North Korea is Best Korea). North Korea builds nothing but nukes and declares war on the U.S very often, launching it's nuclear missiles to them and to their allies.
-Like someone said, while you don't know about it, Illuminatis, Jews, Reptilians and other stuff made up by conspiracy theorists act behind your cities. The difference is, that you'll never know until it's too late and you randomly lose because they bribe the U.N to declare New World Order without any forewarning.
-AI spearmen get 1000% bonus against player tanks.
-Technological research of the player is capped at 11 p/turn.
-The player always starts on Unstable.
-The player collapses as the AI does.
-Aliens have 2 scripted appearances. One on the start of the game, where they build stuff for the nations instantly and help them on researching technologies until the Iron Age. However when someone discovers Mass Media all the technologies and buildings that were built or helped to finish generate 1- happiness. The second is on the 21st century where they eventually invade the world and have units with 100000 strength and 20 movement that ignore water and terrain costs. The Illuminati, Reptilians, Jews and Freemasons rise against everyone.
-Advertisings on the middle of the game, randomly. However, you can still play but not see the field so this will lead to accidental decisions.
-Add every single nation that existed on Earth. Must also be individual city-states (so instead of Greece you'd have Athens, Sparta, Macedonia, etc.)

If it's not hard enough, add a God++ mode that adds not only the stuff from above but all the suggestions from this thread.

Even better, add a God+++ mode that adds EVERYTHING above, as well as having effect on IRL politics and in the past. For example, if on 2013 China go to war against every nation on Earth, it happens IRL.

Why can't we already do that with the UN?

Change "God+++ mode" to "Leoreth mode" and it's fine.

well, i know who i'm playing.

Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slavesrazed.

First turn: 20 Pictish swordsmen spawn.

(Great Britain is in Europe.)

technically, it is a collection of islands in the north sea and Atlantic to the north of France. It is geographically not in Europe, being separated by the channel.

Oh, so Japan is a "collection of islands in the West Pacific" and not part of Asia then. Got it.

This is not even the more difficult question of how many continents there are and where their borders are.

It's about the British being snooty and declaring their little rocks on the European continental shelf to be something special.

hehe poor iceland

Methinks tectonic plates are the best way to define a continent, gentlemen (though if we only used those, we would have about 15 continents).

most part of the time is just for ''cultural definition''

I created a dozen replies to this, but ultimately decided to let it stand.

course...you realize that europe is a purely cultural concept. it's techically the Afro-Eurasia continent as europe, asia, and afirca are all connect by land normally(suez does make it otherwise...but it's man made and therefor doesn't count in this regard)

So i could claim the same thing about Europeans thinking their arbitrarily determined continent to be something special. (by the way, im from California.)

It doesn't matter where you're from. Of course Europe is at least partially a non-geographical concept, but you won't be able to come up with a sound definition of Europe that doesn't reek of British exceptionalism.

though...in all honesty, in a barb overran europe, Britain if it can survive the ones that can reach it is probably the most powerful european nation. no land connection means that mainland europe's barbs cant reach you easily. plus, it's easy to cover the isle's with your culture, meaning you effectly are safe.

Barbs that are scripted can spawn in borders.....trust me, nothing short of the Great Wall or 1 unit per each tile would keep them off.

This does remind me, though: Is it possible to modify barbarian privateers so that 1-2 units spawn inside it? This way we get pirates that actually raid the Caribbean and maybe do some damage instead of one useless ship every 100 years.
