Some of my Firefox bookmarks have the "added" date of 11:14 PM. I looked around the file and found that the Epoch timestamp on all of those ones was 2147483647, which is 22:14:07 18/01/2038. What exactly does this mean?

Any IT guru able to help me remove SelectionLinks 4.2 from Chrome?
Mom or wife got some spyware this week, and having a hard time removing it.

--Uninstalled the programs from "Add program" (running Windows 7)
--Googled and found few ideas

How do I go directly to task manager? If I press ctrl+alt+del, I get to some other screen first. (Win7)

You can also right-click on an empty bit of the taskbar and then click Start Task Manager in the pop up list.

Is there any way at all to salvage a computer in which the motherboard has been scrubbed down with a very abrasive cleaner and then the loose IDE cables all plugged in?
(you don't want to know)

Unfortunately, it was turned on. At least it's good to know the smoke detector is working. Essentially, at the moment, it's a very expensive doorstopper.

Just gotta dry everything, and plug all the parts into another PC to see which ones work, if any. The power supply and motherboard are probably toast. The harddrive and ROM might be ok. You can wash the connection and cables with isopropyl alcohol, or an electronics cleaning product, if they need it.

My mother. Trying to clean a malware infection.

Anyways, another question:

Is that remappable to another key? (Right now, the 'caps-lock' key is dead -- as in I disabled it -- so I figured may as well put some use to it). I tried turning it on for a while as I sometimes lose the cursor but then it got very annoying in some games so I turned it back off.

 That reminds me in the late 90's when the "Melissa" computer virus was going around. It showed up at my school and one of the teachers, despite knowing it contained the virus, opened it because he wanted to see "what it looked like".. like he thought he was going to see a little amoeba or something.

Looking for a laptop, never having owned one before. Is this a good deal?

Lenovo IdeaPad U410 Ultrabook - 3rd generation Intel Core i3-3217U 1.8GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD + 24GB SSD, 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 610M, 14" Display, Windows 8, Black, Bilingual

$499.99

You can assume US$ if you want. Point me to better deals, if you know of any! Thanks

At that price range, everything's going to be similarly awful, I'd consider a better laptop at twice the price to be a significantly better deal.

Particular problems I see with that laptop, unrelated to price range:
1. Windows 8 isn't listed as 64-bit, if it is in fact not 64-bit, you can never upgrade the RAM.
2. Discrete video is pointless at that resolution/price, something at the same price without the GPU could have something else useful upgraded instead.

General problems related to pricerange:
1. Resolution unacceptably low.
2. Not enough memory.
3. HDD not acceptable as an OS drive.
4. No bluetooth.
5. Touchpad is on the left. (Fine if you're lefthanded for touchpad use.)
6. Thick and heavy for the specs.

I'm looking for something in that general price range though. But good points! Something to think about.

What do you mean about the SSD not being acceptable as a system drive though? I assume that's where the OS would be installed.
