I'll revise my opinion about the golf game in Dark Cloud 2. It was rather fun, once I got the hang of it, and how to control my hits and where the ball goes. Playing golf after clearing a dungeon is definitely a cool concept.

I think I'll try the fishing part later. And definitely the monster transformation. Some of the creatures are really cool to play.

Right now, I'm in the last chapter. :yeah:
 
Still into Dark Cloud 2 - just passed my 110 hour... :yeah:

I couldn't get into the last dungeon, 'cause I don't know or miss the last bad guy's true name. So, just sticking around playing the fishing mini-game.

Rather fun. Just made a couple of awesome catches, with a few fishes in the 80+ cm (length) category and 1 at 90 cm! You can present these at the fishing competition held now and then for weighing. Just won 2nd place at my first try - though the prize's rather lousy...

I think I can take the first spot, with my latest catch... :yeah:

Also been breeding and feeding my own 'special' pet fish for another competition - the Finny Frenzy or something. Basically a speed marathon betw your fishes. Won 1st place easily in 3 heats (for beginner) on my second try (after spending lots of time, breeding and feeding). :)

I'm reasonably good at golf too, but that one needs a lot of judgement.
 
I've started in on Xenosaga. So far, I'm loving it, and I have to insist that KOS-MOS rules! It looks like I'm going to have to dedicate a lot of time to playing this, as it'll be in the 80+ hour range. It'll take all the longer as I'm also in the middle of playing FF VII at my girlfriend's insistence. This one's really cool, although I'm obviously coming to it late, and the graphics aren't quite so impressive as when the game originally came out - I sadly missed that boat.

I'll keep you posted.

It's pretty cool. I've heard a lot of people complain about the length of the cut scenes (some of them last up to a half an hour!), but I actually like them. I makes it kind of like I'm "playing" a movie.

After Xenosaga, I'm thinking of checking out Dark Cloud 2. It's received a lot of good reviews, and your posts are only adding to that! :D
 
Dark Cloud 2 is good - esp all the mini-games. :) It's hard to get used to the graphics at first, but after a while, you'll even like it. :D
 
man i love Breath of Fire series, especially BoF 1 and the big boy, BoF 2!! :goodjob:
BoF3 is great also. FF just rulez :D

I used to be a die-hard Nintendo fan because of the Final Fantasy series, but I changed to Playstation when FF7 came out. It's about time Nintendo got the Final Fantasy series back, but I already have a Playstation 2 now anyways. If only FFXI would hurry up and come out soon in North America.

Yes, and FFX-2 will be out in November. Already out in Japan. And FFXI is around also. :p
 
I beat FF-7, FF-9, and FFX. I think FF-7 was the best, it would be great if they released a sequel to that.

My least favorite RPG on PSX- Wild Arms :lol:

FF7 with FFX graphics would kick ass. I also pretty sure I heard somewhere that X-3 is being planned.
