Where's this from? I need to rename the copy on my harddrive. ‘randomcollectionofcharacters.jpg’ is definitely non-indicative.

Marcio has captured a spectacular vision of plant life in the Cerrado, displaying the beautiful flowers of Paepalanthus chiquitensis, stretching out on countless filaments towards the first light of the rising sun.

More from the International Garden Photographer of the Year here.

Speaking of cool, and greek stuff, the following is a very brief short story by Lucian of Samosata, titled "The court of the vowels"

http://www.sacred-texts.com/cla/luc/wl1/wl110.htm

It is about the case that the letter Sigma brought before the court, against T, due to T usurping many of the words which traditionally used sigma (eg the sea, thalassa, appearing as thalatta in some famous texts- including Xeonophon's Anabasis) :)

In conclusion, Sigma asks that Tau is punished by being crucified, because the crucifix itself is formed like a Tau :P

All I want to do is keep looking at that picture.
