PHASE 4
Hunter3K slowly edges away from the sun, gathering up more space junk. The thick metallic core has again become encrusted with silicates, eroding to sandy deserts in places. The surface temperature is evening out, but the thin atmosphere prevents liquids like water from condensing, not that very much has yet accumulated from comet impacts.
Spryllino-Vert has a massive collision with Haseri, the impact is almost enough to destroy both objects. In the end, Spryllino-Vert's gravity wins out. A large combined planet re-forms, with some debris forming small irregular moonlets in close orbit. Millennia later, the surface is still largely molten and being shrouded in a thickening atmosphere of volcanic gases and steam. But much of the original volatiles like water have been blasted out and evaporated into space (Spryverri contains: Spryllino 40%, Vertinari 40%, Haseri 20%).
Debris from the above collision aids the growth of Hunter3K and Citizen1. It also fires some small objects into near orbit around the sun.
For now at least, Citizen1 is hot and pressurised enough for liquid water to exist on the surface, though it is still regularly disturbed by violent impacts. These impacts are also depositing more and more water, sprinkled with hydrocarbons and organic compounds.
Farow's orbit become too unstable, and after one close approach with MerciaryGG, it fell into a slingshot around the sun, before being flung into deep space (Farow is now at around 1,000,000 AU).
TerransTF comes too close to Cull, has its orbit fatally altered, and then slams into MerciaryGG, the most violent impact in the solar system thus far. MerciaryGG absorbs the impact, but is toppled sideways in the process. Vast jets of gas and water vapour are blasted out, much of this material spraying nearby objects over the next few millennia. But MerciaryGG retains most of TerransTF's mass, gaining a substantial amount of water to its upper layers, which are quite warm and sun-lit in places. Heat emanates from strange chemical processes below. The combined giant planet, now called Mergatayen, is somewhere between a water-giant and a true gas-giant (Mergatayen contains: Merciary 65%, TaylorFlame 15%, Terrance 15%, GoodGame 5%).
Mergatayen has only two substantial moons, but they have become rather large. These are the icy and rocky bodies known as TBG and Badunoff.
The orbits of Cull and Mergatayen are not quite in stable resonance. There is even a chance that Mergatayen will slingshot beyond Cull in the near future.
Cull continues to grow, competing for material with Mergatayen. Unlike it rival, Cull has no big mergers, but is better placed to gobble up gas and ends up the larger planet. However, Cull ends up with far less free water than Merciary, and is also cooler, so the chance for biology in the atmosphere is rather slim. Most gas is now cleared from the surrounding area.
Cull's moon, Luckymoose, ends up coated with a thick layer of hydrocarbon gas and liquids. But deep below the gloomy chemical surface, primitive life exists in geothermal water systems. Massive geysers continually purge these cells into the frigid surface where they have yet to find a foothold.
After several near-misses, Omega ends up as another one of Cull's moons, settling in alongside other smaller comets and asteroids captured from the outer system. Tidal heating of the small moon's core is enough to create liquid water. The surface remains a glittering, cratered glacier with stunning views of Cull and its satellites.
Herahetsuj is torn by competing forces, and eventually careers into the path of Kal. The resulting merger only aids Kal's rapid growth in mass, as it begins to rapidly accrete gas from the outer system. Although having a far greater proportion of lighter gasses such as Hydrogen and Helium, the new planet Kalotherco is already a massive planet and by far the heaviest in the system. The potential organic compounds of former Herahetsuj are now locked into a turbulent and frigid atmosphere (Kalotherco contains: Kal'thzar 85%, Justo 5%, Heraclius 5%, Conehead 5%).
However, some organics and water are sprayed out onto the surface of North - an icy and rocky object which is now trapped as one of Kal's moons and racked by tidal forces.
Aikokidon falls into a retrograde orbit of Kalotherco but seems likely to be flung back out into space in the near future.
While slowly spiralling inwards, Bestage has some close encounters that finally fling it further out into the system. It settles into resonance with Lightfang. Both objects are free to gather up unused material from outside Kalotherco's reach, becoming icy cores surrounded by light gasses, perhaps one may form a new outer giant...
The dust has almost cleared. Most free material now exists at the 16 AU mark and beyond.
