So, gay men are stupider than straight men, and lesbians are a bit smarter than straight women?

Makes sense, since masculinity = intelligence.

Spoiler :
:mischief:

More like men = better at general knowledge, woman = worse at it.

The sun is really small if you look at it in the sky. The earth is much bigger if you look at it from here.

I don't think the difference between gay and straight is statistically significant. You may well find a bigger difference if you compared people whose phone numbers end in even numbers vs people whose phone numbers end in odd numbers.

So women misclick more often then men?

Alternatively, 20% of all people wanted to vote Earth, stupid people misclick more often than smart people, and men misclick more often than women. Who knows?

Do we know how big the sample size is, and so what margin of error we're working with? Without that, the only conclusion we can draw with confidence is green rectangle > blue rectangle.

or, about 30% of the people who join an online dating site are stupid....

642,000 users of the online dating site. So the random error will be tiny, but the sampling bias will be huge. Not such a big deal if all you're interested in is how stupid the users of free online dating sites are though.

Wait, yeah, it gives the sample size immediately below the chart, just in little grey letters that I'm too stupid to notice. Fail upon fail.

The difference doesn't seem statistically significant anyway.

Because it isn't. If it was able to project an image of unity, nobody would be freaking out about gov. debt in Europe. Sadly... (you know the rest.)

I'm not 100% sure how they combine the numbers for the individual nations into one figure, but if they are true these figures don't make the Eurozone look all that bad.

That graph really, really needs to start at 0. In a quick scan I'd thought the D/GDP ratio had at least doubled; instead it had risen by about 15 percentage points. Large, but not terribly so, and the level (85%) isn't terribly bad.
