On second hearing, yeah, he drops it.

I think I'm just used to American accents, so I know when a dropped sound is supposed to be a T and what not and just insert it.

So imagine madviking with a big fat T towards the end.

It's called Total contact progressive assimilation and is actually quite common in language change.

You can see this with liquids and fricatives: like ol' man, or "Firs' Worl' War"

Well that's just replacing one plosive (the alveolar) with another (the glottal).
