Also Shi Pretender Dynasty Clique details please!
I saw that coming and was still only semi-prepared! Go me.
Inner court: the close associates, eunuchs, and harem of the dynast. Tend to be yes-men. Favor various policies on a whim, easy to manipulate. Currently rather peeved about the disruption of their lives, etc.
Royal bureaucracy: the dudes who end up running things. Selected due to recommendations from other bureaucrats, and as such the organization is stacked with members of the extended Shi family. No examinations have been put into place. Tends to like self-aggrandizement. Doesn't like being shaken up or messed with by the dynast. Is rather overjoyed to have been rescued from professional disaster at the hands of the Wu Emperor. Not entrenched yet due to the dislocations of the war.
Ji clique: group of aristocrats and generals loosely organized around the family of Ji Yizong. He is rather virulently anti-Buddhist and supports the total extinction of the Wu, as opposed to merely attempting to hold them off. He also supports an alliance with Liang in some way.
Yan clique: group of aristocrats and generals loosely organized around the family of Yan Zhi. He is most supportive of maintaining an overall defensive stance and holding off the Wu, forcing them to acknowledge Shi independence in some way, because he believes that course of action is most realistic.
Fan clique: group of aristocrats and generals loosely organized around the family of Fan Biao. He is a Buddhist and supports, essentially, "whatever is most realistic at the time". Right now that means a strategic defensive in his opinion, but it's very easily subject to change. He also supports acquiring an alliance with Nanyue in some way.
