D'Artagnan01: Low-level Training Day

I am sorry, TGOM. I certainly did not mean to ruin the game for others, I just havent been on the ball lately with many things, also, I have been losing interest in playing civ, nevertheless, I didnt mean to screw the game up.

About the corruption, when I saw that it could get more than one shield, I was hopeful and didnt think. I hope by the time my next turnset comes, it will be a more productive one. :worship:

As Bucephalus said, "Chill, mate." Nothing's ruined, far from it. We are booking right along here, and there have been a lot of "teaching opportunities". I think just about everyone has had one. Given what we had to start with we are in a good position to win this one in fine style.

It's tough to keep your mind on a game when there are so many other things to do, but it is only a game, after all.

Much as I'd love to continue in this SG, RL has put a bind on my time. So I am bowing out of the game as I have no clue when RL will let up so I can actually play for more than 25 minutes a day. Doesn't mean I won't at least keep an eye on this SG.

Ten turns and only one city riots? Wish I had been that lucky on my first set of turns.

Look at the bright side: Your next set of turns is bound to be better. (Well, I thought my second set was better. Nothing like a little public humilation and shame to focus your attention! :D )

@The Gascon - how's the headache?

:bump:

Progress?

Aaugh... Murphy's Law of Graphics Cards: If it takes a long time to ship, it's the wrong size. So now i have to go to Staples or something to get a new graphics card. :wallbash:

So how about a Roster Reorder

Yes, I can take it. Of course, there's so much discussion that it may be hard.

If it is available and the comments have been made for CommandoBob's turns, I will take it.
No turns have been played since Ansar's turns last page, so don't wait for me to play. Since I post my plans before my turns and wait for feedback, it could easily be the middle of next week before my turns were done!

From skimming the posts since Ansar's turns, I know we need to irrigate to the cities on the Iroquois border. That has not been completed.

I'm not sure about the city builds. I know we need libraries, but they may already be in the core cities. Outer cities, if not too corrupt, will need courthouses (to decrease corruption) and then markets (?), to increase happiness (if we have enough luxuries, which we may not),

I don't think we have any Wonder builds or prebuilds. We have mentioned, but not lately or in detail, getting one of the science boosting wonders, Newtons and/or Copernicus's.

We have galleys exploring and a warrior scouting.

I don't think we have any cities to build/backfill.

This is all from memory, not from looking at the last save, so it could be wrong. Please double check.

I think that the next set of turns will be unexciting (no warfare or other surprises). But since we will building infrastructure, we need to be careful to build the best improvement for each city. And what I mean stating something so obvious is just this: if my habit to rigidly build the same improvements in the same order for each city, this is not a good thing.

May need to swap tiles around between some of the cities to maximize production/growth. This is not hard, but it is tedious. And dull. And time-consuming. But sometimes needed.

Did not mean to pontificate or preach, just got long winded! :crazyeye:

Play on and have fun! :D

So, Tribute, take it away and see Commando's post above, he has pretty well summed it up.

I am really, really sorry, but I don't have much time this weekend (summer classes overloaded me [Formal Lab Report, Short Essay, Study Old Notes, Study New Ones, finish another lab handout, read ahead in the book, study for a quiz, work with OTHER people on ANOTHER lab, find a way to return a book, find a way to buy new books, choose books to read ....

So only if I have ANY time left will I be playing CIV.

Reality, what a concept...
Looks like it is back to me. If I cannot play on Saturday (which is normally a good Civing day for me) I will post a skip.

I will use the previous summary-from-memory post as my planning post.

EDIT:
I remember summer classes in college. Almost like having a job (daily duties and responsiblities) but none of the glory (engravings of past presidents on rectangular pieces of green and white cloth).
I remember the energy I had 'back in those wonder days of yesteryear' (to recite part of the voice-over introduction to The Lone Ranger.)
Now my son in college!

So, be aware Tribute, you were playing with an 'Old Fart'.
