[R&F] Devs Play as India

Does anyone feel this was a last minute thing? We waited three weeks to only see one Civ and governors again on a Thursday? I’m excited to see Chandri, but unless there’s a lot more to be seen about governors that we don’t know of, it definitely shows that the Cree situation affected and changed their plans. I’d be more exited if they promised to have a lot of clues to be deciphered or more revelations, intended or not.
Maybe Sarah isn't as keenly aware as Anton about Ed and the Civilopedia. :mischief:

Not really. Indeed, seems to fit the schedule: First, they presented a let's play in which they commented on governors and ages. Then, we got a deep dive on ages. Deep dive on governors fits as the next thing, before doing a late game let's play (with emergencies and alliances), and two deep dives, one for each of both systems. That would make for all weeks up to release.

So, they're going to livestream play of an alternate leader whose ability is not particularly interesting or original?

Well, maybe we'll see some other revelations. Like, maybe he'll declare a war of expansion on the Mughals!

I expect they will show off the religious governor, since they will be playing as India. Now what else can they explain about governors in a 1 hour stream is a bit curious.

I doubt the entire live stream will just be about governors. My guess is they will play a game and talk about governors when they get one but will show off other things too. After all, the live stream that was about golden ages still showed us other stuff.

They tend to go off script in the livestreams, you can tell a lot of times Ed will find himself literally just playing the game for a few moments

We’re counting on Ed to immerse himself and forget what he’s doing, but I don’t think Ed will be in this one. They said they would take turns.

Honestly that's why I liked Anton. While he's less likely to accidentally open the Civilopedia, he's much more focused and actually leaves me feeling like something got accomplished in that hour. :p

So either way we get something, if only the possibility of a faux pas of sorts with Ed.

Well Chandragupta doesn't provide much to talk about so hopefully we will get more details on R&F features.

I would still like more golden age info - it was pretty limited on their past "deep dive".

More information on how loyalty works would be nice also.

I hope for Pete and Anton. Hopefully they host the stream before launch.

hopefully they improved India's stepwells or other abilities, could do with a buff.

From the intro video I think they were all the same

Definitely, maybe it was originally to show off the alliances with Poundmaker, and that got temporarily tabled.

Maybe. I think it's just as likely that they realized they overextended last time with two leaders.
