You must mean Curt! He livens up any thread.

He certainly does, that's for sure. I think he has even got a few locked. But the one to whom I was referring had a tendency to quote popes, if you recall.

I haven't ever gotten a thread locked. But I did get warned for spamming and get a few posts deleted once, in a thread about US presidents of all things.

If the topic sounds interesting, then yes.

Sometimes I do but often just scroll without reading when it becomes two people getting irrational and going back and forth.
Unless Im one of those people of course :D

The funniest ones are the locked ones. And I'm always hoping to see a clever send-off from the moderator.
I'll keep hoping! ;)

Sometimes the mod actions are funny. Also it can be fun to make fun of people in the chat room for getting mod-actioned.

I'm such a gossip I just HAVE to know what got them locked! Hehe

I always read a thread once Ainwood has had his closing hat on :hatsoff:

It's mainly because spamming and flame wars are against forum rules and it's fun to see those who've broke the rules. :mischief: *Giggles like schoolgirl* :yup:

Yup :yup: he really has style in dropping the hammer on spammers. :D Did you know he is EVIL ? :mischief:
But i'm starting to get into PDMA again. :D

When I spot one, I will most definitely read it!

Sometimes, when I'm bored, I go searching for old, locked threads. You can find some very amusing stuff...

Of course I do! I need to see what sort of spam has already been done so that I ensure that the spam that I output is always fresh and creative and not the same low-quality low-grade spam that turns forums into uninteresting cesspools devoid of any thought whatsoever.
I suppose the first and second options are the same for you?

Also, yes. They're often more interesting than your average thread.

I read them. They are often the most entertaining threads.

There's a fault in your process somewhere, and, less seriously, an over use of the word "that".

I don't rubberneck on the highways, but I sure as hell rubberneck in OT. :D

Sure...gotta know who of you spammish bunch to warn, ban, or take even more severe action upon.

:bump: This post is bumpalicious, but I noticed something and remembered this poll/thread. At the bottom of the thread linked below, a poster managed a rare feat. He got a post in after the "Thread Closed" notice. :goodjob:

Ah, now I was wondering about that.

Can a poster 'beat' the locked thread if they are posting at the same time a mod closes it?

Yes. Especially in that case, where I posted via quick-reply, then closed it - there was a lag between when I said I'd close it, and actually closed it.

If its closed via the full 'post reply', then there is a check-box to close the thread - in which case it can't be posted in after the mod has 'said' its closed.
