Do you think we are Smarter on CFC than Average?

Not really, the basics of Civ are pretty simple. There are quite alot more complex strategy games out there.

This from somebody whose sole argument in this thread has been "haha porn is so lowbrow".

I haven't even ushered an opinion on porn, here on CFC or elsewhere.

It sucks that I can't say that I'm smarter than average, because then someone will pull out that psychological phenomenon where everyone thinks they're smarter than average. But I really am! :(

Of course you are!

But I'm not. So the average is maintained.

Im smarter than anyone. Im the smartest most awesome person on the planet (I took the title from Kim Jong Il when he died)

Wrong. Correct answer is two.

I typed "...now?" and promptly held up two. Which did not include the ones used to type 'n', 'o', 'w' or '?'.

Q: Am I a pedant?
A: Yes.

An average CFCer is more intellectual than the average person.

I don't know if I am more intellectual the average CFCer.
But being smart is much more than that...

125 million Americans are desparate, stupid or maliciously evil.

What a very patriotic view of your fellow countrymen.

;)

I like to think most were desperate, aka voting for what they thought were the lesser of two evils, rather than actually being awful enough to approve of either of those two candidates. But I'm probably being too generous to most.

Yeah, thanks. You really make me want to like you, y'know?

Did I ever claim to be trying to gain popularity points here?;)

No.

But how about you try it just as an exercise? You might be surprised how much easier it is to persuade people with calm and charm. And an approach from near their position rather than from far, far away.

I bet you'd be good at it too. But it's only a suggestion.

Well that's good (provided you don't mind grunting). I very nearly deleted it a while ago.

Over five billion Americans are prone to wild exaggeration and hyperbole.

I've said it a million times - Never Exaggerate! Or was it expectorate? Expostulate? Well anyway, don't do it! x1,000,000!

"aka" implies a standard that is generally adhered to and considered obvious enough to gain "aka" status.

Normal, rational, intelligent non desperate people regularly and knowingly vote for the lesser of two evils. This is not "also known as" desperation.
