Dumb and Stupid Quotes Thread: Idiotic Source and Context are Key.

If you approach your lender with hat in hand, and make promises in exchange for easier terms, the lender will expect you to keep up your end.
This has not been done. Germany has taken a hard line, so be it. It's seems to be the only way to get the Greeks' attention--and that may not even work.

Settle down, Beavis, it's time for deine medicine.

I think that one's more politically charged than it is stupid.

"Neue (sic) Reich Times?" Seriously, Greek?

It definitely belongs in dumb and stupid quotes. But instead of saying "New York Times" you should quote the person who opined that nonsense.

"I don't believe that the president loves America. He doesn't love you. He doesn't love me."

Same people who faulted him for wanting to give everybody a pony. Too much love. Too little love. Guy can't win. (Except elections against the alternatives their side puts up.)

I can imagine Giuliani following it up by tearfully telling Walker, "He's just so cold and distant, you know? Why doesn't he love us?"

"It's okay, Rudy. It's okay."

"I hear the news commentators say: 'Why is Obama doing this?...Why is he aiding and abetting ISIS?' And I'm like, because he's one of them. It's so obvious...He's an Islamic jihadist."

Didn't she also claim that he was a Communist? It would be nice if these people could pick a conspiracy theory and stick to it.

Right-wing entertainer and former Saturday Night Live comedian Victoria Jackson appeared on Newsmax today to discuss her claim that she was snubbed at SNL’s 40th anniversary celebration.

When host Steve Malzberg asked Jackson about her latest music video, “There’s a Muslim Living in the White House,” Jackson said Obama “doesn’t act like a Christian at all” and is probably a Muslim since he “supports abortion and same-sex marriage.”

She wondered why the whole country doesn’t realize President Obama is a Muslim: “The thing that is frustrating to me is every night I hear the news commentators say: Why is Obama doing this? Why is he helping the enemy? Why is he telling them where we’re going to hit them? Why is he aiding and abetting ISIS? And I’m like, because he’s one of them. It’s so obvious. It’s like the emperor’s new clothes, you know? It’s like nobody will say the truth. He’s an Islamic jihadist.”

I’ve been saying Obama’s the Antichrist since six years now but now others are jumping into the fray too and I’m no longer alone. There are more than 50 million people worldwide who say Obama’s the Antichrist. A poll in 2013 for the Guardian of London by PPP said one in eight people say Obama’s the Antichrist.

In 2009, Victoria Jackson raised eyebrows when she said Obama fit the description of the Antichrist. She was a forerunner and served as a warning signal about him: http://www.beliefnet.com/columnists/stevenwaldman/2008/10/snls-victoria-jackson-obama-is.html

Excerpt:

“I don’t want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ and I’m scared to death that un-educated people will ignorantly vote him into office.

Not seeing communist. But I'm sure it came up at some point, considering all the other insanity she's spewing. Clearly she can't use the phrase 'I'm not an idiot, I just played one on TV.'
