Just to try to get your point, the problem would be that Republicans would spend primary money to denigrate democrats they do not want to run against because they would be popular? Or just generally against democrats so they do worse in the general?
I don't understand your question. My point is that Democrats may be reluctant to change the rules to limit their own campaign supporters resources/spending in a way that makes them able to spend less than Republicans. Does that make sense?

We are talking about their ability to spend money during the primaries, right? So at that point they are not competing with the Republicans. One might imagine that supporter who do not donate to the fight of Dem 1 vs Dem 2 would instead donate to the fight of Dem vs Rep. This would allow the Dems to spend more fighting the Reps because they spend less fighting each other.

CNN interview amounted to an infomercial for the radical left-wing candidates.

It's kind of interesting that the whole of government and all of our elite institutions are lined up behind this Democrat effort and that Trump has only himself and the ordinary people. The stakes in the election are extraordinary, if the Democrats run the table taking both houses and the White House with the most socialist minded ticket in our history, the result would essentially be the end of the Republic as we know it. It would be an event like unto the historic earthquakes in Russia, first when the Bolsheviks deposed the Czar and later when the Soviet Union fell.

I am not saying that the world will actually change the calendar, BC/AC (before calamity/after calamity) but future historians will certainly refer to 2024 as the end of one period in world history and the beginning of another. It will mark the end of the Pax Americana and the beginning of the new, darker, ages to come.

The voters, in voting to renounce every value upon which our Republic was founded and sustained upon, will only discover their blunder in stages, and many other claims will be made to lay the blame at other doors. But such a dread event will divide the time as starkly as the red ribbon divides the scriptures when we open our Bible.

Yet more rubbish God Commanded you to not say. You really are racking up brownie points with the Prince of Lies.

Trump will raise taxes on his "ordinary people", and cut taxes on the coastal elites. It's not like the Trump voters don't know that.

That should answer everyones' questions.
Straight from a primary source.
Is she a Dem? Is she named Trump? Nothing more is needed. Whatever she can get through Congress will be fine.

They are always competing with the Republicans. The Republicans were running attacks against Biden during the primaries.

Junk in my postal mailbox and ads in mobile game i play are using the 'dangerous liberal' angle against Harris.

Ignoring calls and texts from pollsters (Dynata=most persistent, CM Research, Freedom and Prosperity PAC, among others.)

For those on the right, every Democrat is "extreme." (radical, communist, marxist, leftist; Hannity in particular piles them up almost like those fixed Homeric epithets) It's a meaningless word, except insofar as it communicates their distaste for Democrats as such.

Democrats are extremely far away from how they would like to see the country run.

Endless projection has been Trump's pattern for years.

It's been a standard Republican practice since well before Trump but it has really ramped up under him.

Trouble.

"We are not interested in hollow rhetoric, empty platitudes, or shallow calls for a ceasefire while the Biden-Harris administration continues to send weapons to Israel, enabling the indiscriminate slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza and fueling a wider regional conflict," the campaign said in the release. "Words without meaningful action are meaningless, and the continued complicity in these atrocities will not be tolerated."

What is Trump's position on the Gaza situation?

Do you realize that FoxNews is the original source for this news?

The original source is that the campaign tweeted what they were doing last week.

Trump's position on all the bad things that have happened on Joe's watch is that they wouldn't have happened if he had been in the White House.

Well of course it is. And Hillary's position all bad things that happened when Trump was in the White House is that they would not had she been in the White House.

Hillary is far less self serving.

Well, all the talk of it's too early to pay attention to the election, wait till after Labor Day. Turns out there was a lot to pay attention to and here we are. But the thing is that the state that is being touted as the most likely "tipping point state", Pennsylvania, will begin voting on the 16th OF THIS MONTH!

The election is on us. We will have a debate, maybe, and then some judge likely to throw Trump in Rikers. This is going to be over in a flash and I feel a breeze stirring and what is that... the smell of the sea, the salt, the waves and rotting fish. and that movement there, what is that ascending from the depths...

Yes, August was a busy and unexpected month for politics. An August surprise! Trump's sentencing will be interesting as the judge tries to split the baby without killing it. I have no clue as to what the judge will do.
  • Short jail time
  • Long jail time
  • Probation
  • Delayed jail time
  • Fines
  • Suspended sentence
  • Some combination
  • Probation moved to DC
Once sentenced, Trump can appeal his conviction, but filing an appeal does not stop the carrying out of the sentence.

My preference for 34 felonies would be:
5 years in jail beginning Sept. 11. The day after the debate.

Less jail time is more likely though, so I'd go with:
90 days to 1 year in jail starting Sept 11 and 4 years probation.

I'm thinking that the judge will not put him jail before Nov. 6, I also think that 6 months or more in Rikers will break Trump mentally.

What bad things happened in the world when the Donald Trump was in the White House?

Only things I can recollect are:

(a) Covid which happened everywhere

and

(b) a riot.
