Well, first Kamala tears a new rift,
After that, Taylor gives her this gift.
If he isn't yet done,
He's at least on the run.
I suspect his demise will come swift.

Harris destroyed him Joij. Everyone knows it. His side will do spin. Even they know it.

We'll see what the post debate polls say. Till then I ain't calling it.

Delightful.

Some would say that was Trumps best performance in a political debate perhaps it was the best performance in all of history, maybe even the universe. References to Haitians roaming the streets looking to snack on dogs and cats, I mean it does not get better than that.

Reminded me of The Walking Dead - didn't know things were that bad in the States :D

And look at what's happening to the towns all over the United States. And a lot of towns don't want to talk -- not going to be Aurora or Springfield. A lot of towns don't want to talk about it because they're so embarrassed by it. In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in. They're eating the cats. They're eating -- they're eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what's happening in our country.

Full text is here btw.

Is it normal over there to adress a former president as Mr. President ?

No, I can state quite confidently that Harris saying it should be legal would not make it a fait accompli. In fact, I think if she said she supported legalizing it, the entire GOP would be immediately pushed to be even more against legalization than they currently are, and within a week you'd have Democrats like Reps Jared Goldin and Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez saying that Harris saying it should be legal just shows how out of touch she is with the middle. Years later guys like you would be writing in threads like this about how Harris tanked her campaign by trying to appeal to far-left stoners at the expense of swing voters
Trump already said he's not anti weed and the whole gop follows him.

Swing voters are unlikely to care one way or another more likely to be pro decriminalization more likely (you can look it up)

Nah, she doesn't need to waste political capital on this. Weed is already legal in the blue states and no one who is in favor of marijuana legalization is going to change their vote over this.
It's the right thing to do, not everything needs to be cold and calculated.

I only watched this:

Seems to be what was expected. At first glance it doesn't look very different in tone, dynamic and moments to the Trump-Clinton debate. I assume there won't be another debate, though 'of course' both sides want it.

I read that one point Trump claimed that he didn't support an abortion ban, but did support exemptions for medical emergencies and the health of the mother. Setting aside that Trump lies as easily as breathing, surely that means he does support a general ban on abortion if the exemptions are the only things he cares to support!

From the video, he said that he doesn't support a federal ban, despite what Harris etc said he did. State bans aren't directly controlled by the potus (I mean, those happened under Biden).

it was just the states rights playbook. it was a long shpiel about how everyone had tried to bring the issue to the states for 50 years and he did it and nobody could believe it but he did it amazing. y'know "i don't want segregation! i just think states should decide on it..."

he is also, regardless of his claims, interwoven with p2025, which outlines federal bans.

he also said harris was supporting post-birth abortions.

or in other words, like, just to sum it up: he lies a lot, y'know.

This is something that, as far as I can tell, nobody (except you and me) has yet picked up on, Arakhor. He's been using this line for a while: "I support the exemptions." Then he'll elaborate: "I support the exemptions, for rape and incest and the health of the mother. Just like Reagan did." He thinks it's a way of making himself sound more moderate than the extreme bans that have gone into place in some states (b/c he knows that what his SC set loose with Dobbs is highly unpopular). But favoring exceptions only makes sense in the context of a ban.

So, if there is another debate, either the moderators or Harris need to ask him. "If you're not supporting a ban, what do you mean when you say you support exemptions?" Then add this (because it will just muddle him as he tries to stammer out an answer). "If there's a federal ban set at sixteen weeks, is the time limit set differently for victims of rape and incest and they get a longer period? Or will there be a total ban, with those as the only cases where one can get an abortion at all?"

The video you posted captured the highlight of the night, Trump ranting about people eating dogs like the crazy, senile old man he is. This was nothing like prior debates, it was an absolute trainwreck for Trump and a tour-de-force for Harris. Trump syncophants and fanbois are calling it a "tie" and/or "the same" or "BSAB" and similar, because that's the best they can do without throwing up in their own mouths.

(5:40):

The question BTW, was "Why did you kill the bipartisan immigration bill?", which Trump absolutely did. In response, Trump started ranting and raving about people eating dogs in Springfield Ohio, after ranting about the crowd size of his rallies. That was his response to the question about why he told Republicans to flip on the immigration bill they had previously agreed to. Absolute unhinged nonsense. He was not as bad as Biden, but clearly he is too old and out of his mind.

He is old. He is confused. He is a lunatic. He was pathetic in the debate... again, not as bad as Biden, but pretty damn terrible and frankly sad. Trump should retire to Mar-A-Lago to play golf and enjoy his golden years that he has left.

With all that, I have to imagine you really had literal foam out of the mouth when commenting in the thread about how Biden did ^_^
Or it is just that the team-sportification of politics prevents such. I think Trump being old (and imo apparently worse mentally after the attempt against his life) was a given, but the polls say the race is in "dead heat". The debate personally reminded me of the 2016 one with Hillary.
I wouldn't say he was similar to Biden in their debate; Biden at one point completely lost it and was mumbling stuff to himself. The response was funny by Trump: "I don't know what he said in the end, and frankly I doubt he does either".

Let's reach for the stars here: he should spend his remaining years in federal prison.

It's easier to watch something US-politics-related when the presenter looks like this. Anyway she wasn't happy with the journalists in the debate.
By now I think Charlize Theron wasn't good-looking enough to play her :)

I'd settle for state digs, like Ossing

Fox News hosts, even ones like Kelly who quit, never say anything good about every other news outlet in the world. Tame her comments with a pound of salt. Better yet, check out Fox News. Lots of folks there agree with Kelly.

Fascists are like that.

I want to know how the debate went, so I'll take the opinion of someone who's in the tank for one of the participants. As long as I find her physically attractive.

C'mon, Kyr.
