Fall Further - The Original Thread

Also you can scroll out to the globe view and when you scroll back the interface comes back too.

Aye - the code tracks what state the interface is in (Normal, Cityview, Globeview) and doesn't redraw it until the state changes. The problem is that after you reload the game, it seems to remember being in the "Normal" state but hasn't drawn anything at all yet. Changing the view once will cause it to draw that and then changing back will cause it to redraw the Normal view.

I thought in vanilla FFH2 Maelstrom had been changed so that it now also affected friendly units and could trigger war. But this doesn't seem to be the case in my current game, with patch f.
Intended?

Not sure when the two versions fell out of synch, but I've put Maelstrom back to being as the FfH version is. Will be included in Patch G.

Enchanted Blade isn't supposed to have a range of 1, is it? I think spells without a Range defined are using a range of at least 1.

Default is 0 and it seems to be behaving correctly in 042f so far as I can see.

Ah, yep - my mistake. I was looking at a saved game based on an older version. And much shuffling of files had taken place so the bug might not have ever been FF's.

So, I am new to FfH2 and Fall Further--and am loving both so far! Thanks to all those people who helped make both happen.

But, I had a bit of a problem (and am hoping this is the place to report it since it is Fall Further related). I tried to search for an answer, but felt that I would never get through all 124 pages of replies, so I don't know if this issue has been addressed yet. If so, if someone would please point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyways--to the issue. I went to load up my game today, and noticed the border that goes around the bottom and top right of the screen was gone. This included all those buttons (for advisers) at the top right that are pretty much essential for playing civ. This problem only comes up 'after' I have loaded a game from a previous save. I have only had this problem with Fall Further, not the original FfH2. It possible that this happens as a result of some add on that I have (like the BUG mod). Is there somehow to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

yeah, all you have to do is open up city view OR go to globe view mode and the interface comes back. it's an issue related to the latest patch, annoying I know, but will be fixed in the next patch I guess ;)

You only needed to read the last 2 posts rather than 124 pages there :)

Oh, I knew, I was messed up with that Broader Alignments thing..
but one more similar question: aren't you going to someday implement Influence-driven War modcomp as a, say, game option?
Just get me right on that: I want to play FF, because I like FF, and it gives a real flavour and style to the game. But I also like the possibilities of several mods, made for vanilla Civ. And, personally, I think, that IDW suit FF setting quite much...

Playing as Kahd I was able to found RoK & get its holy city, and also experienced some passive religion spread contrary to the description of his Intolerant trait; I was blocked from adopting religions though. (And the diplo text after signing Open Borders is missing a period, that's the only other bug I could find!)

Playing as Arendel Phaedra, Ljosalfar. Patch F.

Event that offered me to buy a Band of Defectors from the Elven War gave me a Mercenary, a Ranger and a Longbowman.

But it says I should get a Mercenary, a Ranger and a Assassin.

Keep up the good work! :goodjob:

(Hopefully I can play with hellterrain without CTD soon. )

One thing to say... GREAT ADDITION TO FALL FROM HEAVEN II! :D this mod rocks! I especially liked the addition with Lizardmen civs to the fold... it adds more flavor to the FFHII universe and besides that... I always thought since this is a fantasy modification of Civ4 that it should have at least most basic races within a fantasy realm... one question though... shouldn't the lizardmen be Dragon worshipers? (AKA) Cult of the Dragons? ^_^; haven't played to much in this... I just started... so I was just wondering... but if there is something I said... <_< if what I said is true... please don't tell me cause I wanna find out for myself :p

Oh, I remember the problem with Elohim. It is difficult to eliminate barrows & dens, since your scouts have only 1 offensive strength, and units on barrows/dens don't move unless there is another.

Yes it is :)

Just a small though. I actually liked the look of the missing interface a lot, it seemed cleaner, more elegant and allowed me a better view of the map (I figured you might be viewing about 15% more of map this way). If there was an option to keep all the relevant buttons, menus, map and information, and have the rest disappear, I would play it that way.

By the way, Fall Further rules. Of course, you know that already.

Regards,

First impressions; I'm really disliking the new Elohim. Unless you manage to get the Spiritual trait (which is pure luck; the right feature might not even be on the map) then they are completely useless.

CTRL+ I hides a lot of the HUD pieces for you.

My spell range "bug" was simply Spell Extension I.

I finally figured that out while casting "Rust" on Brigit the Barbarian.
