FarowNES02

Nice update.

BUT--I specifically said to go west around the border, not across it, so that it wouldn't be seen by forces on the border, which is what you said happened.

I also said that if we couldn't sack the city, we should continue further south rather than trying to attack. What happened with that?

And my forces which were on your western border, being cavalry, were perfectly positioned--and ordered--to outflank you if you should try attacking Kicha by outflanking the border.

It's okay Farow. It's still a nice update. I noticed that I saw my country, Hyoln, twice though. Maybe you should merge that XP

I may have misinterperted your orders but you said head west across the plains and then down through the mountains towards their capital. At least that is what I got from it.

Why would your forces continue south on a suprise mission if they failed the first time? The suprise mission failed and now Taruq-Sky Gods know what you are attempting to do.

If they would have continued the troops would have been slaughtered. They withdrew because it was impossible to continue.

If you believe your orders (which I may have read wrong) would have made a difference please pm me and I will consider it.

Okay, fine. I misinterpreted your statement about the border.

OCC: Sorry everyone I admit yesterday I was lazy on stats. However, tonight I have homework to do. If I get my homework done in a reasonable amount of time they will be up tonight.

So how did the plague affect Turaq and Sky Gods land and rulers?

Farow are T'lur Pa's cavalry tactics as I described them so ineffective that I would lose as much infantry as they do horsemen?

(T’lur Pa: -4000 infantry, -250 cavalry)
(Sky Gods: -3500 cavalry Carran: -1000 cavalry)

Generally, horsemen fighting infantry on open ground inflict disproportionate casualties (without pikemen, artillery, fortifications, etc.). You should be glad you lost fewer infantry than they lost cavalry.

All depends upon the tactics used and the weapons at hand. Infantry in this NES is undifferentiated as I recall, so I did assume some latitude in how I arm my troops. I was looking for about a 2:1 loss ratio: 2000 of them for every 1000 of me. ;)

I, with 4 spending points of fortifications, had a 1-to-1 casualty ratio. So don't complain.

Actually, now that I think about it: Farow, why did I have a 1-to-1 casualty ratio, given my fortifications? It's not like we were going out on the battlefield to meet them, but rather peppering them with arrows.

Yes, because that really worked for China when the Mongols came. *rolls eyes*
China had a wall. And we all know that was more to prevent raiding parties from escaping then to keep the Mongols out.

Terra Trifluentia, on the other hand, has fortifications. They're very different. Traps, nasty firing angles, multiple layers, etc.
