FarowNES02

No, you are not! There is no irony to be aware of! :mischief:

EDIT: For comparison, take my sig. Until now, I've still had a link to SSNES3: Slaves and Masters!

EDIT2: OK, that wasn't actually funny. BUT! I swear that I will start a new NES after I've finished service. And it'll survive for more than a month - and be good to boot!

Major Developments

Expansion of Terria Trifluentia- Terra Trifluentia had become a center for there religions and culture in the west. It had begun to rapidly expand in all directions soon bordering New Tereden. In the years its country was more united then ever and the decentralized government proved invaluable in its expansion. The empire was growing and Patria had risen to become the largest city in the region numbering over 100,000 people. Its glory was shortlived as Waterside soon grew to have twice that many people. Thanks to stability and improved technology Terra Trifluentia has managed to make the mark of 1,000,000 citizens before anyone else but T’ur Pa surpasses them by half million more by 400 A.F. Veneratio Atavorum is now the largest religion in the world and is well on its ways to becoming the only faith in the west. The only nation remaining is the Sky Gods still not yet converted.

The Spread of A.F.- The calendar A.F. is becoming increasingly used by all peoples of the main cradle. Adaptations have been made to match local religions and faiths. A Bhatoist form has arisen called A.N. (After Neptanian). A.N. and A.F. are now the most commonly used calendars in the Great Sea.

Waterside- The city of Waterside had grown to become the center of science and learning in the Great Sea. New inventions and observations have led to a boom in agriculture. The country’s population begins to explode. It was shortly behind Terra Trifluentia for some time. Finally they surpassed them and reached a million and half citizens. The country also has begun to investigate new possible minerals for weapons. One shows particular promise, iron.

Fall of Cascades- In a quick campaign on the declining nation of Cascades, T’lur Pa manages to utterly defeat the nation. Dilhava moved in and secured Cascades islands just off sure claiming to be protecting their national interests.

Change in Fizcat- Fizcat was devastated following the Holy Bhatoist Crusades and it dramatically changed the nation. Anarchy, famine and poverty ensued for years with no way out. The Duke went broke and lost control of local Barons. Finally when Ramain was invaded the council of Ashlayl was held. A feudal monarchy was established loosely uniting the scattered Fizcathian tribes and territories. Eventually stability was reached and the country finally began to recover. They, however, face a resurgent Holy Bhatoist Empire and distracted allies. Fizcat eventually grows from a tiny village to a city once again and many cities are established in the plentiful lands to the east.

Holy Bhatoist Empire Reborn- The Holy Bhatoist Empire was in shambles after the failure of its first crusade. After a deal with the various minor Bhatoist Kingdoms a united and centralized throne was established.

Tephen Growth- Tephen had largely been an inward society building great monuments and fending off barbarian attacks when they came. A more aggressive society was growing and fueled with the powerful cavalry the country soon to took over neighboring tribes. Cities were built up the River Teet

The Power of the Kee People- The Kee people had adopted a mercantile way of life with a new government. Their influence spread far north into the various islands coming in contact with the emerging Ishukno peoples. Over time their growing wealth allowed them to subdue a large portion of mainland tribes creating a sizeable empire. The faith of Veneratio Atavorum keeps it in good ties with its neighbors Tephen in the west. In the east it consistently finds itself in small trade wars and skirmishes with Vencia.

Major Wars

Kaldurian War- Kaldur was be surrounded and integrated by her powerful neighbors Terra Trifluentia and T’lur Pa. The people were fiercely independent but their growing economic and political reliance on their neighbors was growing into a problem. T’lur Pa began the first move when a revolt in provinces along their border to join them (settled by T’lurrian immigrants) began/ T’lur Pa mobilized a large force and marched into the provinces establishing her control over them. Kaldur refused to allow their territorial integrity threatened and counter-attacked. At first successful they drove the invaders out. Then at a crucial battle the technological and tacticinal advantage of the invaders destroyed Kaldur’s army. T’lur Pa then took Kaldur and began to march west. Terra Trifluentia in a call to liberate its religious brothers moved in taking the other half of Kaldur. The two sides fought at three large indecisive battles on the border. The country of Kaldur is now divided and it was only the beginning of further Terra Trifluentian influence on Great Sea nations.

The Northern Wars- T’lur Pa while fighting with Terra Trifluentia left its far northern colonies vulnerable to attack. The growing power of Vencia thanks to the rise of trade states has led it to a wealthy state. They quickly attack and occupied all of T’lur Pa’s northern colonies.

Fall of Tampla- Tampla following the defeat in the crusades was a devastated land with little left. They overtime were coming under the increasing influence of Tereno. Finally, Tereno lead a small army into the Tampla lands gaining much support as Tereno had brought stability and wealth. Not to mention Tephen had converted to Bhatoism.

Hyoln Aggression-Hyoln was some of the most peaceful on the planet. As the world began to grow increasingly violent especially with rising empires on her borders, Hyoln was on the move. Dualism was to be spread to the savages to the north. In a long campaign lasting more then 50 years and empire was built despite heavy resistance. Now Hyoln is a power in the north, but many of its neighbors see them as a growing threat to their mercantile domination.

The Vencian Wars- Vencia was on the rise with growing trade and power as a halfway point between T’lur Pa and the Kee people. The people of Vencia lost to the Kee people in taking the tribes in the west under their influence. Vencia attacked the T’lur Pa colonies once able to muster the strength easily overwhelming the thin defenses. Much of the population had converted to Bhatoism and they had significant ties with the Vencian nation.

Embarrassment for T’lur Pa- T’lur Pa had suffered a mix of victories and defeats across the cradle. The country wanted peace with the west and to go on conquest when easy for them. T’lur Pa in 369 A.F. suffered one of its worst military defeats in its history. A contingent of 3000 men was sent to stop the spread of Taruq’s influence on the weaker tribes. Taruq had a force of 500 horsemen in the area where T’lur Pa destined its men. In an act of blunders and incompetence of the commander the force was ambushed and slaughtered. This convinced the last tribes yet to be a vassal to become a vassal of Taruq.

T’ur Pa Attacks Ramain- T’lur Pa with the distractions on the mainland was losing the colonial race. T’lur Pa despite its technological and bureaucratic advantage was unable to contend with colonial expansion and the constant threats at home. T'lur Pa finally after defeating or settling with a peace with Taruq had to invade Ramain with one of the last areas open for colonies. The country had been weakened due to raids from the anarchic raids from Fizcat.

Taruq Wars- Taruq was on the rise once again. Neighboring tribes were incorporated or forced to be vassals. The area under Taruq rule finally began to recover with the stability brought by Taruq. Cities were beginning to rise and wealth flowing across the thin belt of fertile land along the river. Taruq had got into conflicts with all its neighbors but in many of them actually emerged victorious. Taruq begins to look hungrily at the cradle to the north where huge empires are to be destroyed.

Empire of the Sky Lands- The Sky Gods are going through some slow transformations with the religion changing as well as the name. The first change was a dramtic one spurred on by a different thinking brought about the knowledge the Sky Gods were not invincible so the people changed their view on the world. The country now believed that no Sky God was entirely a god. They were instead sons of the Sun God and were instead were to end up as Kings in the afterlife. It is slowly becoming the commonly accepted faith but many Sky Gods refuse to accept this. However, they are quickly losing support and are changing their views to keep in power.

The Other Cradle
Sorry alex for making you wait :(

The nation of Huming had gone through an era of prosperity and peace following its conquest of Shanxi. Technology was improved as well as agricultural techniques leading to a population boom.

The seven families created a decentralized empire which proved to be a powerful tool in keeping the families united for some time but it came to an end.

Finally conflict did erupt as dukes fought for expanding their influence and rule on neighboring duchies. A king is elected by the seven families but he is more of a figure head and often powerless in preventing conflict.

Priests began to consolidate their power during the chaos as dukes began to fight. A religious council persuading of the high priests had huge influence on peasant life in the often dark times.

OCC: Not everything was done that people wanted. So there are still a few more installments so you may get more recognition or some plans you had may go through. Be patient the next update is scheduled for Sunday. Iggy your religious reforms have not completely gone through yet but much of your populace is Bhatoism now. The merge of your two faiths will take place in part two. Map will be up soon.

Hope everything is fine. I hope I did not forget anything. Also, if you have complaints please PM me. This is just easier for me to note compaints and fix things.

Main Cradle- Red Line is about the equator. The map keeps coming out blurry. I will try and fix it tomorrow but you get the idea.

Huming Cradle

Hmm, I expected the religious changes would be a bit smoother and less complete... oh well, I won't argue with it. Nice BT Part 1 Farow!

Nice BT Farow, this is pretty cool, how you've taken apart a long BT and showed us stuff happening in chunks. :P

Gogo Hyolnian empire :O

hmm, pretty nice size, and no mention of the hawks, their decendents, or their UU. that went mostly without a hitch, I suppose.

Oh, and I think the pact of nutrality has worn off.

Nice update!

What is the exact status of my nation? Do I loosely control all the regions, or am I limited to Rubian plus its region? What of the Tower? Is my story void, or did the fragmentation ensue despite the changes implemented?

There are still 3 more updates in this BT. I am trying to spread the orders out so I have something to write about so your changes may still come.

Very nice update. I like the flow of things.

Not that it particularly matters, but you realize that there used to be a lake south of the capital of the dark green nation above me, right? It's there on all the previous maps... :p

Also, why did you shrink the map and remove nation names and trade centers?

That lake was actually a country colored blue. I took them off because I thought it was a lake for a while. If it was a lake it would have been the same color as the ocean.

The map was not shrunk purposely. I am still working fixing it so it works again.

I removed trade centers and names because I need to change things to the new rules. I kept cultural and religious because they are important.

If there's one complaint to be made, it seems like the nations are a little artificially balanced.

Well it has been a relatively peaceful cradle. I plan to make the next few BTs much more chaotic narrowing down the number of empires.

I thought the same thing but you were the first to say something. This is my first BT so I am going through another learning experience.

My mini-empire is hemmed on, oh no! D:

Gogo Farow, good luck on this BT thing.

Neato. Should we do any diplo or anything?

A great great great list of Monarch of Tephen will be completed shortly. All the way up to the year of the next IT.
