Are there plans to add completion art for late game projects/wonders. Also, what was the consensus on creating a visual (like the spaceship) for the Mars Base Project?

The consensus on both things is that it is desired but I likely won't be doing it myself.

I've started working on the Mars base a while ago. I think I have about 50% ready for a first release version. But I haven't been working on it for the last few weeks. I want to get back to it, but I have some motivation/inspiration problems atm.

Thanks for sharing. Not much pressure from my end because I am currently inactive as well.

Seems like pretty well everyone is inactive. Must be seasonal for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Anyway, is there an established method/format for creating completion art for wonders? Or does anyone have any resources in the form of files I can use as an example to work from? I'd be willing to take a crack at a few of the wonders/projects that are missing and share the files if someone else wants to add them to the scenario.

Not really. You can change existing buildings. It is quite easy to reskin a building by just the changing the .dds file of that building. But usually you also want to change the shape and then it is often much easier to build from scratch than to reshape an already existing building.

I made a tutorial on how to create wonder/building art from scratch using Blender if that is what you are searching for.

Well usually I am less active in the summer, but there's just a lot going on right now that is taking my time.

I think the question is about wonder videos ... there isn't really a set template, but the general pattern is making some sort of slide show of existing images. I've never really done but I suggest making it in a format you're familiar with and then exporting to bik.

QMC is at a pretty good place so I've just been playtesting in search of bugs that I can fix. This last saturday I began work on a pretty big project. Not QMC though, more of a DOC project than anything. I'm planning to release a test in the coming future. As always, I'll work hard to keep it up to date with Leoreth's latest git version that I'm aware of.

Wrong thread?

In regards to inactivity, I have a lot of suggestions for UHV and general Civ edits that I've been saving for the future. I just don't think I can really help out with the new map's development right now myself, and so I need to wait until its implemented to go suggestion crazy.

Thanks folks, I may take a crack at it anyway. First I'll try to figure out which wonders don't have completion art. Might even look at making the models, though I haven't touched blender or any 3D art program (save for 3D paint) in quite some time.

The completion slideshow are in .bik format. IIRC there are some tutorials to create them in the tutorial section of the forums.

Instead of a .bik slideshow, simple .dds images are often used for completion videos as they are much easier to create.

I started working on the Mars base again. Not because I felt any pressure, but I guess somehow the conversation provided the needed motivation/inspiration.
