[FfH II Art Team Blog]

Oh, I agree. Using Neomega's Shadow for all civs would still be an improvement over the current Shadow. I only meant that ideally there will one day be civ specific Shadow art that matches the style of each civ's other units.

NeOmega's shadow -> all civs other than Svartalphar = win

Ancient spies are too homely.

After so long I hibernated, here is the new Ice Maiden, requested by Avahz for his plaything . This is Elohim Hunter reskinned, any credit goes to seZ for creating such beautiful model.

It might be never show up in the base FfH, but I keep my finger crossed :mischief:

Heh well if it does I will just beg for another one :p (YES MY PRETTY come and enjoy my plaything!!!)

I spent these ten days to reskin models for Empyrean Priest (without armor and with robes) and didn't made it. For now, I give up on this issue :(

My next project is making reskins for Doviello arcane line. The adept (shaman) model is already exist, but I wonder whether it fits Doviello lore (being bare-chested etc). Do our loremasters and great sages happenly know about Doviello casters' fashion and accessories? :D

If the number of Illians units without unique arts is x, then I guess the chance that you will need new model is 1/x. Or is it x00 %? Never good with math...

New female arcanists. I reskinned these for Lanun arcane line since I move the Enchantress for Lanun Druid unique graphic. But seeing the final models, I think that these fit for Mercurians too :D Choices, choices.

The armor makes them lean to Mercurian, me think. Hmm... still have to reskin something for Lanun...

OOT completely.

Warkirby, I already reskin your druid according to the four season. Would you like for me to upload them for you?

mercurian and/or bannor.

although Bannor does seem perhaps more patriarchal. Still, would work for Bannor as well.

18. New Malakim Mage model by Esvath.
19. New Malakim Archmage model by Esvath.

Kael, since you are planning to include these reskins, I propose another reskin for Malakim arcane line. I recommend this as the adept or mage unit. I think this one is better than my last Malakim Mage.

Ooohhh.... very nice! I agree, she makes a perfect adept, move the current adept to mage and keep your archmage.

Thanks! :goodjob:

Adept

Those three are Warrior-Mage. More warrior-ish than mage-ish, as I presumed that every Bannor child must study physical combat before else.

They need a little something else, to make them look like casters. Perhaps a glow around the left hand. (Similar to your very nice Malakim Adept, but an arcane glow rather than flame.) Otherwise they look great.

Glow, eh? I minimalized effect on purpose so they look more warrior-ish, but if a glow is needed (especially when the reskins are too much brute according the Lore) then glow shall they :D

While Bannor society does emphasize strong father figures, it is relatively egalitarian when it comes to gender roles. In hell, women needed to learn to defend themselves as well as males. Women are expected to be trained in weapon usage enough to defend their homes when the menfolk are away. Females may be less common in the regular army, but there are quite a few of them serving as Confessors, and the most famous mortal Bannor leader is a woman. I have more trouble accepting that the Bannor would allow the use of arcane magic at all than that they would keep women out of such roles.

I believe Kael said a long time ago that the Illians tended to be the most patriarchal and have the stricter conventional gender roles. I know from Ashes of Brigdarrow that at least one Illian village did not allow females to fight in melee or mounted roles, but expected them to be good enough archers to defend their homes from invasion.

(That story also shows that they take Marriage much more seriously than other civs. They are strictly monogamous, even requiring widows and widowers to forever remain in the state of mourning without any option of remarrying. I suspect they never allow divorce, and probably require those whose first loves reject them to remain celibate. (This could be why they population remained the smallest civ in the Age of Magic.) After all, they do worship the god of Not-Moving-On-With-One's-Life.)
