I use Tapatalk on my phone to access CivFanatics. I noticed that it still doesn't see the forums from my app. Will this fix, or would I have to use another app?
No plan to install Tapatalk on the forum. It's lots of stuff to install and slows things down.
The mobile version of this forum looks pretty good now. You should add the forum as an icon to your home screen. :)

I'm guessing moderator permissions are a little off at this stage - the main staff forum is not visible to me. However, the GOTM & Content staff forums are visible to me.

I just looked in OT. You need to SCROLL OVER threads to get the links to the latest pages? It's now way harder to tell which threads are popular at a glance; plus the links themselves are almost impossible to make out.

This is the best format that 1999 has to offer.

...signatures are smaller and no longer distinctive thanks to post info being right below it, you can't tell at a glance whether someone is online...

Wow this is pretty crazy...it will take a little while to get used to, but it was probably a good idea to do in the long run. It will take me a while to get used to everything, but I'm sure I will. Thank you for being willing to put the time and resources in to ensuring that CFC remains strong. :)

P.S: Any chance that we could get postcount back?

Ugh... I understand... But I did like having the app to access the forums. It made it easy to navigate and have notifications and such. On my phone, I prefer apps over web. But that may be just me.

Unfortunately the influx from Civ 6 will disguise the general dropoff in activity, so it might be a while before Thunderfall is forced to switch back.

How about some basic quote tags? And not having all the buttons be the same shade of gray?

Whoa, didn't see this coming now... although I think CFC had been on vBulletin 3.x since I joined, so it's time.

Things mostly look good, but I did notice a few things that might be tweaked:

- Spoilers that use the equals tag aren't spoilered anymore. Such as: [SPOILER=Description of SPOILER | <-- intentionally using pipe to avoid spoiler. If you view the first post in the editor link in my sig, you'll see many of the spoilers aren't working due to this (ones without a description seem to mostly work)
- I'm not sure if nested spoilers are working either? It may be all my nested ones have a description for at least one level
- Default style suggestion: The color of links and the color of regular text look quite similar. Maybe the link style could be tweaked a bit to make them stand out a bit more?
- It looks like the user avatars that used one of the CFC defaults didn't get carried over (e.g. my avatar used to be the Civ3 legionary). Are these planned to be restored or should we upload new ones?

Definitely glad the Downloads Database and the CFC smilies are coming back, and that more themes probably will (though the default isn't bad). Any plans to restore the "don't display signature" or "don't parse links in text" options? Not a big deal, but I occasionally use the former for presentation (Stories and Tales updates in particular), and the latter is rarer but I went looking for it for this post since I was posting a spoiler tag syntax example.

And I CAN see the OffTopic Forums although I'm not supposed to.

Also, I can't seem to find a place to view my infractions. That means they're all gone, right? Right?!

Quote tags seem to work fine? Just use the general [ QUOTE][/QUOTE ] (minus the spaces ofc).

XenForo has post count.

For those wishing for the Like feature, it is here!

Did anybody wish for that feature? It seems like a complete distraction from discussion to me. Is there some way to turn it off or make it unviewable?

And I'm not sure where the postcount is. Literally every forum I've seen displays it right below the profile.

I don't see any button to add them. You're telling me I have to copy paste the tags individually every time I want to break apart someone's quote?

Looks like it's the 'reply' button on a post instead. Should be easy enough to change to quote if the people who designed this forum software knew what they were doing (which I'm not entirely convinced they did)

Some people did, see the thread in this forum. Most people seemed to be somewhat against it or at least neutral, but then again, not that many people even took place in the debate.

Let's see whether my predictions that in a few months the off topic forums will be a place of elitism and political hegemony prove to be correct.

PS: Those new smileys are super-ugly. :(

I can't say I like this change in the slightest; I personally find this new setup greatly inferior to the old one, and the general feel - not to mention the post editor - is far less appealing when compared to the old model. The only thing I like about this change is the fact that new posts are loaded in real time, but it's something I could definitely live without in the old version.

In addition, the update coming and closing the site for days right after the Civ 6 NDA lifted was a terrible idea, closing CFC down just as new information on the game was coming in.

Also jeez man these smileys >:/

What's the "Thread Tools --> Convert to Resource" at the top of threads supposed to do? It seems to cause an error when I try it currently. Although it did remind me of the Download Thread option that used to be there. I've occasionally used that so I could have the text of a thread offline for quicker searching, and for access when I didn't have Internet.

Thanks for taking the time and money to upgrade the forum! Despite the growing pains, it's something that needed to be done eventually, and it should be a good thing for the community as a whole over the long run.

Reply button, next to the like button as Pouakai mentioned. Also reply seems to work similarly to multi-quote as you can "reply" to multiple people by pressing the reply button for multiple posts.

BUG: Non-Latin characters in posts before the migration seem to be broken. Here is an example. Not sure if this is possible to fix, just thought I'd bring it to your attention. Also could you maybe make hyperlinks more visible? They kind of blend into the background atm.
