I just want to say that I have seen the map before, so I'm not participating in this round. It's fun to watch every one else try to guess what it is.

It's all very complicated what happens in soil.
If there are less organisms like fungus in the soil, for example the carbon binding process of soil decreases.
But also the growth yield of the crops needing that symbiosis with all those organisms around their roots surface.
all the pesticides we use... it is the decrease of insects and insects diversity that makes the headlines.
But the decrease of soil organisms, amount and diversity, is of a similar damaging magnitude.
The data in this map is not current but certainly representative. It is specific.
