Guess the map 16: No need for that latitude!

What's the difference between the solid and broken lines?
You can reasonably split the world into 8 or 16 areas, the 8 is shown by the colours and solid lines, if you also split it up by the broken lines you get the 16 (I think).

Is it related to politics as well? Some of those lines are suspiciously close to international borders
If it is, it is a mistake or a co-correlation rather than causation.

This is the first version they did. They caused some controversy and they fixed some errors including one that could be related to politics, and the biggest change was Yemen, Oman and Somalia went to Arabia. That could be politics, but if so it is really old politics.
