Guess the Map IX: The Richese are no match

I'd definitely be missing something if Emerati food was more popular than Chinese.

It does have to do with stuff that goes into the body though.

US, China, Saudi Arabia=Death Penalty

@Kyriakos: Yes, it's a per capita map.
@Algeroth: It's not really strongly related to anything else.
Hint: It's consumption of a thing and this consumption has been discouraged by Michael Bloomberg (and others) for being a waste of resources. It's probably kind of correlated to development, as in no one in really undeveloped countries are consuming this thing, but beyond that there's not really a pattern.

Bloomberg... something to do with soda or salt, then?

Some kind of renewable energies?

Is it a sort of organic foodstuff?

Or perhaps a specific class of foodstuff, as in "organic" might be considered a class?

Like, "raw food" could be considered a class?

I mean, contrary to the consumed good being something specific, such as a carrot or oatmeal.

The thing's probably consumed in every country, I just can't find a set of data which includes more than these ones. A different source put Italy as #1 over Mexico. And it's not food, but that's close. And the US is the number one consumer altogether and Mexico's second. Consumption has increased a lot in the last few decades.

@Mulatto: No.

@Eduhum: Not energy but it's a waste of energy to consume it really.

@Angst: Not food but close.
