This was Cain's original 9-9-9 plan before he removed the leading 6's.
To be honest, we do live in the era where women throw around "sexual harassment" like it's a casual shopping term. It's quite likely that at one point a woman has accused you of sexual harassment, even if came no where close. He may have retorted with that because of how lightly women throw the term around.
You're right - Cain hasn't denied raping anyone and has yet to produce proof that he hasn't or when he stopped.Whoa now, I don't think anyone mentioned rape before. There's a world of difference between rape and a pubic hair on a coke can...

We don't really, actual sexual harassment is still pretty underreported (I work in HR). The fact that the women were given substantial buyouts would indicate that the firm thought they might be liable for damages, which they wouldn't do if the accusations were totally frivolous.
Please, PLEASE tell me you got that reference. Otherwise that sentence is just bizarre and disturbing. Well, it's kinda disturbing anyway, but at least makes sense if you know the reference. What a world we live in that this sentance is actually a legit piece of political analysis
The Clinton payoff came after Clinton had won a summary judgment. The case was appealed and at oral argument 2 of the 3 judges appeared sympathetic to Jones, meaning the case would likely be sent back to the trial court. At the time of the settlement, Clinton had more urgent items on his plate than lobbying for restaurants. Not quite the quick surrender that Cain did here.By that logic, Paula Jones had a legitimate case. After all, Clinton settled that and paid her off.
The good ole 80's, back when Coke cans didn't groom as much. Please, PLEASE tell me you got that reference. Otherwise that sentence is just bizarre and disturbing. Well, it's kinda disturbing anyway, but at least makes sense if you know the reference.

I dunno. He might get some closet supporters. The GOP has their fair share of kinkiness. Foot tapping, "luggage carriers", and so on.He is, after all, running for the GOP nomination, not the Democratic nomination, so an accusation like this actually has the possibility of sinking him.
And we don't have a lot of details here. We don't know if Cain or someone else made the settlement.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/post/herman-cain-now-says-he-knew-of-cash-settlement-with-women-who-accused-him-of-sexual-harassment/2011/10/31/gIQAAE62ZM_blog.html?tid=sm_twitter_washingtonpostMy general counsel said this started out where she and her lawyer were demanding a huge financial settlement I dont remember a number But then he said because there was no basis for this, we ended up settling for what would have been a termination settlement, Cain said in the interview, as reported by the Washington Examiner. Maybe three months salary. I dont remember. It might have been two months. I do remember my general counsel saying we didnt pay all of the money they demanded.
Cains statement represent a reversal from what the Republican said only hours ago (see video below), when he denied that he knew about any settlement that was reached after the claims of sexual harassment were made.
In your experience, have women thrown the term around lightly?
It's not like rape is all jolly good fun for the victims, you know.

Where did I say rape, and where did I say nobody really ever gets raped?
Deliberately? He's deliberately taking a dive, just like I expected.
Deliberately?![]()
Wait...
I am pretty sure that there are other Republicans who are running who have also done some non-Christian activities, like Newt Gingrich
Focus. We're talking about sexual harassment, which is tantamount to rape - also a form of sexual harassment.
Since one often leads to the other and both demean the woman sexually, they're related.
