How is your EU3 Game going?

Convert France, in one of my (Vanilla) byzantine games this was the first step to a Europe where even the Pope was orthodox

quite a Le Blob you have here :p
but how can you allow England to have territories in France?!?

btw, you gave provinces to Burgundy to get cores here when you inherit them? smart play boy.

i hope you'll have similar territories to my England game from some time ago.

In my recent game, I modified a 15-10-1399 start to have Elaine Albion as Queen of the Triple Kingdom of England, Scotland and Ireland. I also modified the completely underwhelming Kingdom of Jerusalem event so that you form the Kingdom in personal union, not simply as a unaffiliated OPM.

My current ruler is James, King of Great Britain, Ireland, France and Jerusalem, Lord Protector of Armagnac, Avignon and Friesland, Hammer of the Timurids and Saviour of the Byzantines.

This is France we're talking about. It took three massive wars to bring France to its knees and even then I had to make war on its breakaway states in the south to bring them into line. That large Armagnac is my vassal as well. :)

HTTT SRI with my personal modifications, Tuscany, 1621. Savoy is my vassal. Started in 1469, the day when Lorenzo the Magnificient takes power. Plan to form the Kingdom of Italy, though the Holy Roman Empire repeatedly pesters me with sanctions.

Are you serious? usually it's just 1 or 2 wars with England till theyre destroyed and i have cores all over France, just to annex them in the next war :mischief:

France has seemingly-endless manpower, lots of large, rich provinces and a run of near-divine warrior-kings at the start of the game. I had to concede Gascony and Calais and then come back later when France was already being brutalised by Austria, Bohemia and so on. :)

Just do that : when you start, build armies, like...3 armies you can transport one at time at the game start. (like, if you have 13 transports at the game start, build 3 armies of 13 regiments)
then send 2 to France, build another one, meanwhile France will try to invade you, good, make your ruler a gen, start to use some smart strategies (and scorched earth) to destroy the Frenchies, after you destroy their armies and start overruning them it's easy.

Well, in that particular game, as noted, I'd set aside the Lancasters to play with the Albion dynasty, as founded by Queen Elaine. She went on to rule for another 40 years and "young" Prince Arthur was nearly 70 when he took the throne!

Mint, mint, mint, take loan after loan, build troops, troops and more troops, expand expand and expand.

The worst effect of inflation is slowed research rate, which takes a while to become significant. Personally, I always try to keep inflation close to zero percent as possible. I'm not much of a warmonger though.

You add a decision or event simply placing a new text document in the right folder with the right coding. :)

You might want to look at the Japan Unification decision for ideas. Text descriptions are placed in the localisation files, but require a specific syntax unless you want to bugger everything up. I suggest checking in with the Modding subforum at the Paradox boards.

My inflation always stabilizes at 45-50%.

Anyway, I need help modding. How do you add a decision (text descriptions and all)? I need to add a decision to let me annex Japan (which is broken so far); apparently, once all the remaining daimyo are OPMs, there's nothing else you can do to grab stuff in Japan unless they somehow manage to magically unite.

See attachment.

TXT file goes to the decisions folder. There'll be an "annex_japan" text description, though.

If you want the text to have appropriate description, then drop the anjap.csv file into the localization folder.

I didn't test it, though.

How do you avoid new localisation files messing everything up? I tried placing a file in my localisation folder and it completely buggered up all the text strings.

LoL this is insane. 50% inflation? wut? do you realize this increases costs for everything don't you?
i always keep inflation at 0, sure, i mint sometimes, but it is hard to raise my inflation, if i go over the limit and start getting inflation, it's just like 0.1 a year. otherwise just hire a master of mint and kill it, KILL IT!!! :mwaha:

Yeah, of course, I do. But I don't play countries which are in a fairly dominating position at the start, and defending against the Holy Roman Emperor as a three-province Tuscany, taking on the Ottomans as Saruhan, or on Atjeh and Brunei as Makassar takes a lot of money to do.
