How is your EU3 Game going?

Hard or Very Hard here :)
(the mod that i play had lots of realism, especially in the HRE, so it is much harder than vanilla, like i need to pay attetion to the estates of inherited nations for example)

i would suggest to Mongoloid Cow move on to Normal difficulty, you did quite well here, so i would say you're ready. :)

Hire a diplomat, and take about 20 years off to get your BB down. Oh, and read your messages every once in awhile. :)

Still working my way through my first real game too, btw. It's fun. :D

I also played at normal level. I am not sure what the higher difficulty levels are like, but in normal, as the Byzantines, the game is reasonably hard while not impossible ;)

start at 1405 as the byzantines, declare war against ottos day 1, use your navy to blockade, kill the ottoman pretenders and get anything you can :)

EDIT : anyone with unpatched divine wind wants to host any multiplayer game someday?

Unpatched is fairly broken. People of the NESing forums have run beta patched DW games.

I've read that over in the Paradox Forums, but I don't understand. I have Chronicles, so what's buggy/broken with it?

They also just released another Beta patch; when does a Beta become and Alpha?

Alpha comes before Beta. Beta patches at the moment have fixed issues with the hordes, naval warfare, and numerous other broken issues. The biggest being magistrate numbers being far too low. Beta is implying a playable patch that is close to becoming finalized.

What I meant is, how long does it take to become Official? There was a Beta in March, and another one released this week, but still no official update. This is my first Paradox game, so how good have they been about officially patching the game?

From what I've seen they rarely officially update the game, but the beta patches are typically worth downloading anyway.

WIM, if you went to the specific Paradox sub-forums, you would already have your answer (partially and no).

Is there any way to play MEIOU or Magna Mundi on Divine Wind?

MEIOU finally came out for DW this week, so that's possible. MM isn't even possible with the last HTTT patch.

Mods tend to require beta patches though (like MEIOU only works with the March 30th one).

What kind of Modification for EU3 would you recommend for a player who loves historical accuracy?

Do you mean historical determinism (Burgundy will fall apart; Castille will inherit Aragon) or simply that a world conquest is impossible? Both MEIOU and MMU do the latter, but the oft-quoted tagline for MMU is "Don't worry, Ubik hates you".

Neither one of those is really "historical accuracy".
