They crossed into Mexico illegally to fight against the Mexican government.

Really? I thought that they crossed legally into the Texas to fight the invading Mexican Army.

Seriously though, you can call me racist or whatever you wish, but if this trend continues, then the United States will one day have a Hispanic majority and we're going to have a situation where all signs are in English and Spanish, like with Canada.

I am not going to call you racist, but I'm going to call you confused: there are bilingual signs in Canada only in Ottawa, Montreal (and surrounding regions) and New Brunswick.

No matter what, you can hardly compare the linguistic situation of a country with two founding languages with that of a country faced with an "onslaught" of hispanic immigrants.

Are you in the U.S. legally? The quoted post above makes many mistakes regarding what is accepted as proper written English.

Im here legally, i dont have the best typing skills, but i was born here, im a natural citizen of this nation

Actully no, they came into Texas, which the Texans who where invited by the previous spanish Government refused to leave. They fought for Texas indepdence along with thousands of brave Texans. We whiped the floor with the Mexican army.

That is a good point, one which I've used in the past.

Tejas was the sovereign territory of Mexico when they crossed the border.

Texas, and when they crossed the boarder, the crossed with premission, we just refused to leave when told to get out, so the Mexicans could take over, after we had tamed the land for them, we told them to go to hell and then we kicked there ass in a war.

Oh, by the way. I was not aware that Daniel Boone ever visited Texas. That is probably because he never did, but what the heck do I know?

Where is the 'execution' option?

I don't want that. The Arabs/Muslims are encroaching on Europe and the Hispanics are encroaching on North America. There will always be some minorities in any nation or people, but it would be nice if it would stay that way and we could continue our way of life. I just don't think our culture can survive the likely future demographic shift.

Right, because the US is only for WASPs. Everyone else should leave.

The Southwest area was Mexican before the US conquered it, too. I guess the people encroaching were the 'Americans.'

Is this not the same this that is happening today, yet reverse?

umm no, we didnt invite the illegals, though if they want to wage a militray compagin to take Texas back, ill glady fight them back, i dont mind one bit, we wouldnt even need aid from the US army, Texans are a special breed, we could whoop the Mexicans back by ourselves just using shotguns.

actully we bought alot of the land, and the rest was in a treaty. In 1846 Mexico started to invade Texas, by sending troops across the Guadaloupe, remember we where a US state now. They openly attacked American soil. America responded by sending the Calvary down there, and we whooped them agian. As part of the treaty the Texas board was made the Rio Grande, and we recived NM, AZ, CA, NV, and UT.

Mexico would win, without US support.

Either way, being a bully doesn't make one right or less of a bigot.

Well, in all fairness, the "Tejas" was the name of what is now known as "Texas" before the revolution which created the nation of Texas. However, as our ill-educated or omission-prone friend fails to mention is that the Texas Revolution began in October of 1835. Davy Crockett arrived in January of 1836. However, this is all way off topic. My point was that I define American culture by people that live/d in the mold of Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone, not some Wal-Mart CEO.

Spoken by a Texan that isn't even tough enough to get his paycheck on time.;)

Yeah, nevermind the part where I said that I don't have a problem with Hispanics who want to come to our country to become Americans.

I've worked in contracting, cheap labor is badly wanted by many, and Mexicans are invited by many, just not you as you may see them as competition...

They are still here because people can benefit from them, over wise, all Americans would want them out.

EDIT: Please note i am not pro-immigration, I am only arguing with you because I feel you are being unreasonable...

This speaks for itself. ^^^

So if some Texans declare Texas as "independent", then anyone crossing in from Mexico to fight the U.S. army isn't crossing illegally? They are crossing from Mexico into an independent Texas?

They would? Last I heard, Texas was still the only state with its own air force. F-15s and F-16s, IIRC. I think Mexico is still flying junk from the 60s. What is more is that Texas doesn't need the U.S. Gov't to support it in the war. I would gladly grab my pack and rifle and head down there to fight, without orders.
