@hobbsyoyo Oh, I searched rocket propulsion jobs and got this: https://www.indeed.com/q-Rocket-Propulsion-jobs.html
It took me a few minutes to figure that out. Nothing in the preceding posts had any such reference. And then it hit me....I need more help with the "or not" part.

When I opened this thread in 2011, as an effort to help folks ask and answer questions about getting hired, it seemed clear to me that there were posters who really didn't want to actually get a job and so by including things to do, they could avoid those and stay unemployed. That option was included in the thread title so they would know that they could benefit from reading the thread.![]()
That is certainly true if you do any kind of contract work. Also, firing bad customers can be therapeutic and allow you more time for your best customers or new ones.If you have too much work, raise your price.

If you charge $60 per hour, you will have $60 per hour customers. If you charge $100 per hour, you will have $100 per hour customers. You just have to provide a $100 per hour experience.
You could still raise your rates a bit and have either more time or more money. You could tell some friends that the demands of being "domesticated" mean you need to be at home more or fill up your Fridays if you want a 4 day workweek.I already fired all my bad customers. I pretty much only do work for my friends, which is really the problem because it is hard to say "no, go pay a contractor through the nose so I can hang out and play games all day." I've just been making too many friends lately. Maybe I need to be more of a jerk...
Back when I was actually in business I used to absolutely delight in firing bad customers, so you definitely have that "therapeutic" right.

Yeah, personal issues can make being efficient very difficult. But it can be good karma.LOL...my friends already know I don't work Fridays, basically ever. Unfortunately they also know that I really don't need the money so they would recognize a "raised rates" as a mostly "I really don't want to help you with this." I really need to just quit making friends.
I'm whining right now mostly because I made friends with the woman who owns the rental house across the street just in time for the HVAC unit to blow up its control circuits so I have ANOTHER job on my plate. I could have just given a standoffish nod from across the street, but noooooooo, I had to go over and meet the new tenants, chat with the owner, act like a nice guy...![]()

Well, Birdjaguar posted about sexually suggestive cups being made by McDonalds Japan ‘accidentally’ right after he posted in this thread, so I'd better wait for the confirmation.

:reading:Not at all. That same site has a listing of jobs in Japan for non Japanese speakers that they seem to update weekly.

You know, I'd just been reading about George Takei and my first reaction to reading this was ‘Oh my!’.You were thinking he might be suggesting you take up as a cup model?
