I just don't like mitt Romney

Would you go to a bar and have a glass of soda with Romney?
I would do the time-honored Canadian thing: First, I'd pour the soda over his head. Then I'd smush a pie in his face.

Then I'd get a hose and hose him off, like he did with his dog Seamus. After that, I'd put him in a dog crate, tie him to the roof of a car, and have the driver drive for 12 hours to Canada. Romney would not be let out to eat, drink, or have a bathroom break. And if anybody complained, I'd just laugh and say, "HE LOVED IT!"

Rest in peace, Seamus. How any animal lover could vote for somebody who abused his family dog is beyond my understanding. :(

Obama removed the Churchill bust from the WH oval office. Thats quite contemptible.

Perhaps Obama didn't want an overweight Brit bearing a resemblence to a maladjusted toad staring at him every day.

Why do you keep harping on something that you know with certainty did not happen?

Honestly dude? Are you that blind or stupid? You said the same thing in another thread and i disproved it.

Obama removed the Churchill bust from the oval office. A few years later Obama showed DC around the White House and pointed out a DIFFERENT bust in a unimportant part of the white House. Hillariously the WH claimed that no bust was returned to the embassy and provided evidence of this second burst to prove it; basically the white house is full of liars. It was then, the British embassy pointed out that Obama HAD returned the oval office burst at the start of his term.

So to recap:

1) Obama removes bust,
2) Obama claims he never did it and cites the other bust,
3) British embassy soundly disproves that,
4) White House look like a bunch of incompetant liars.

So did he remove the churchill bust from the oval office? The answer is a resounding yes.

Fair enough, you have to admit the Obama decison was a snub to Britain though. Then they try and backtrack on it and lie - makes them look like a bunch of idiots.

Recently, the Ottawa public library lent me a copy of Things Fall Apart. It is one of the best books of the 20th century, praised by critics everywhere. After some time, I removed the book from my home and returned it to the library.

Does this mean I have awful taste in literature? I mean, I removed the book from my home! The author is Nigerian too. Oh no, am I a racist as well?!

There might be a point somewhere in that mess contre. But if you read the thread on the bust i specifically pointed out the removal was only a snub to Britain and was symbolic of very, very damaging policy choices to the UK.

And so fracking what? You act like this is in some way important? Even if it did happen as you say it did, which I doubt based on what Flying Pig said, why would any person actually care about that??!!??!??! It is far beneath trivial. And the only evidence you seem to have for it is a rabidly lying neocon Republican political commentator.

As I said before and before you blow a gasket - it's a symbol of the damage done to British interests by Obama.

What damage? We back you over the Falklands, the 'special relation' is still intact, we haven't invaded any countries in the Commonwealth. We didn't drag you into two of our wars though.

If it's just a symbol, then why is it "contemptible"?

It demonstrates how much importance he places on British relations and that manifests in his actions with these little things and foreign policy. For a Briton thats contemptible.

You can check my other thread for it. I think it has churchill/bust in the title. I've summarised some of the arguments their, i can't be bothered to do it here. Also, your allowed to compare the GWB effect on Britain but it's not an argument vs the Obama effect.

If the Churchill bust such a big deal why isn't Romney using it against Obama? Who do Brits like more? Obama or the guy who insulted them about the Olympics?

No idea, I'm just one Briton's POV. Most of the public won't care, those who do will drool over Obama because how cool, black, trendy and handsome he is. At least my reasoning isn't spurious :P

How so? Isn't it more likely that he simply didn't think that many Britons would find the action offensive- which, given that the only Britons who seem to have noticed are you and the staff of the Daily Telegraph, seems to be the case?

Did the Daily Heil even report on this? If a story is too low-brow for the Daily Heil, that says something.

Then why not talk about real issues instead of making a mountain out of a molehill?
