I'm Graduating!!!

Congratulations to all graduates of all levels.

I will be graduating from the University of Notre Dame this Sunday (5/21). Then it's off to the DC area (I am sharing a house with some people in Arlington) and trying to find a temp job to pay the rent until July, when I get my results on the Foreign Service exam and find out if I can keep going with that, or I should apply to other government agencies.

Ohh, good, glad you found a place. I was just looking at apartments in the NW area, and in Bethesda, but I bet arlington will be cheaper. You'll love Washington

How though. Is that normal? Did you skip a year or something? I mean even if I wanted to I couldn't because I'm not that far. What did you take in 8th, 9th, and 10th grades for math.

For us:
8th: basic math or Algebra 1 for advanced students
9th: Algebra 1 or Geometry for Advanced students
10th: Geometry or Algebra II for advanced students
11th: alg II or pre-cal...
12th: not required, up to AP calculus AB or BC.

7th: Algebra I & Geometry
8th: Algebra II & Trig.

--Changed school systems--

9th: "Advanced Analysis I"
10th: "Advanced Analysis II"
11th: AP Calc BC
12th: Multi-variable Calc

Analysis I and II and the Advanced classes don't really fit into the usual curriculum order. Adv.A I was like proof-based Algebra II and Adv.A II was somewhat like pre-Calc.

Dang, all this graduation happiness. Makes me excited for next year when I finally graduate.

Dang Cuivienen, that sucks. When I graduate next year it'll probably be around 6/2 or so.

Class of 2007!!! [party] :band:

I hate you people who graduate from high school early. I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Graduation: June 22.

Good Lord. When did you start?

In my county we always had long school years, starting a week and a half or so before Labor Day and ending around June 10. Of course, this was because we were liable to miss 5-15 days for snow.

I never considered finishing school to be graduation.. i'll feel a graduate once i have finished Uni... and i plan to stay here as long as possible thanks!

Late August. I think August 29, but I don't recall exactly.

just got back from my graduation, we have ours in our local college's basketball arena because we have around 400 seniors in our school

lets recap what all happened

first, i got there and mingled, nothing special, with my class
then, we got in our lines to be presented to the audience (roughly 5000, a full arena)
well, here's where the confusion starts, there were two lines from either side of the arena that would fill up every other row (so the line on the left fills in the odd rows and the one on the right fills in evens)

apparently the file on the opposite side forgot to skip a row and take my row. so when we got to our row it was full.

so like any one else we just stood around while some kid told us all to walk away really far so there row could get out. well me and two of my friends walked but they didnt.

so me and my friends chuck and jerry were sitting there all alone in front of 5000 people. so we did the only thing we could do.......danced.

the crowd loved it actually, so i enjoyed it

from then on it was pretty uneventful, lots of hugs and congratulations and the such.

maybe eventually ill load some of the pics of me in my robes on the members thread too
