A Ruling Coalition made up of
A Fair and Just Russia and the
Russian Communist Party has taken control of the Duma.
This Socialist Coalition has named Anastasia Kuznetsova (
Russian Communist Party) as the new Prime Minister of Russia.
The Russian people have entrusted this Duma to help rebuild and strengthen Russia after the lapse in popularity of the
United Russia party after their disastrous handling of Russia during the past decades.
The assassination of president Vladimir Putin in the year 2029 is considered by many Russians to be the moment when the Party began to lose favor among the people. However some feel that Russia's ultimate collapse was the result of years of renewed hostility between the West and Russia. This among multiple foreign policy and internal issues would lead to the almost complete dissolution of Russia, and would lead to the
United Russia party to become unfavored by the population as a whole.
With most of Russia lost to civil war and strife, only the regions of the "Russian homeland" of Moscow and St. Petersburg remained. With this dissolution and dissatisfaction of the
United Russia Party the rival parties could begin to strengthen their own influence and reformed Russia's democracy considerably, leading the remnants of Russia to become one of the worlds most liberal and democratic countries in the world, however the country is still dominated by four major parties, and despite their decrease in popularity,
United Russia is still a powerful player in the Russian Democracy, frequently controlling parliament with the
Liberal Democratic Party as a coalition member or on their own.
This election cycle however has seen a socialist coalition rise up between the
Russian Communist Party and
A Fair and Just Russia. Despite winning control of the Duma, the United Russian presidential candidate was more contested, with the
United Russia Candidate, Aleksandr Valentin, has won the presidency with a 47% of the popular vote, the rest of the Candidate's results are seen below:

The following years will be difficult for all parties, with no one party controlling the entirety of the government, it is unknown what the Duma will do in the upcoming years. If the Duma will try to push further liberalization and democratic reforms, or whether Valentin will prove to be as much of a strongman as Putin was. The future is truly unknown for Russia.

Finally on the IMF, Russia will join, however while the President is willing for cooperation, the Duma is more hesitant on the nature of the IMF and questions if it will be really used to help other countries, or if it will just be used to institute economic Imperialism on other countries like the 20th Century IMF was used for.
