If you see something in Sports Talk that needs action, just report the post and one of us will get to it. Especially if it's spam advertising, then whoever is online at that moment will handle it.

I check in there every day or so, to look at threads...
Still someone will need to report the problem post, since I have no interest in sports and don't really check posts... In any case, any reported post will end up viewable by all mods in the reported posts section, so someone will take care of it, if not by me.

I don't think we have any plans for a new mod, specifically for Sports, at the moment... Other sections have a more urgent need.

The Civ1 section tends to have people with a postcount of 1 come in and post some site for pirating the game... the mods tend to act very quickly whenever this happens.

Yep, including to each of the first 3 staffers, who went kinda bonkers at different times. One at the old site before CFC started this UBB/VBB in Oct 2000; One shortly thereafter; and one later. All of them my old friends from branching threads days. Creeping insanity appeared to be an occupational hazard for the early staff here.

I guess it could be interpreted in different ways.
I figured he was accusing Lefty of creeping insanity, because he was a part of the early staff, but your view makes more sense. Sharwood has not been around long enough to know Lefty is an old timer, unless he did some research.

It doesn't imply that Lefty was a mod since 2000. It just implies that he could have been. 
I did not join the moderators until 2001, after flaming was prohibitted here, which limited the fun of being a poster.
