IMPORTANT: New Admins, Senior Moderators, and more

Out of idle curiosity, is post count enabled in the Staff Forum?

Parts of it, yes. There are subforums where infractions and reported posts go that do not have PC enabled. And the Bin has no PC as well, which is why you see your PC drop when we bin a thread. But the main staff area does.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing PC turned off for the forum.... but that's for another thread.

Maybe you could encourage spammers to legitimately report posts by enabling post count where the report post function goes?

Yes, it has.
Surprising. Most sites I've been to either the mods could do whatever they wanted or the people chosen as mods always behaved themselves, to the point where they became too sweet and innocent, and the forums became uncontrollable. Then again, most of them had joint leadership instead of one almighty god like TF.

I think that makes Lefty the "highly paid recently-civilian consultant"

Or the Family Consigliere.

I wouldn't think that democratically chosen mods would be so much easier to deal with, I mean, most of us can tell if someone would or wouldn't be a good moderator, but perhaps that's because we have an excellent mod team to serve as our shining example of how one should act.

Oh, they weren't really democratic, just that there were about five people in charge instead of just the one.

Would that it were so....

Nearly all of our Staff forum content is actually moderation-activity based.

And whose turn it is to refill the beer fridge

Question, if let's say you post in the Moderator Area, would i be able to see it here:? http://forums.civfanatics.com/search.php?searchid=781941

You should not, no. When you search, there's a dropdown of the available forums open to you, and 'all open forums' or some such. So if there's a forum you don't have access to, you can't search it.

And since google/yahoo doesn't have an account that can search the staff forums, you can't try and get in that way, either.

I clicked "Last posts made by Turner" though, would that be any different?
