I've been thinking about changing my avatar from the Fortuna Wheel to something else. Any ideas?

I still have maybe two thirds of mine, but it would be a real hassle to remember them all and then find them.

I don't have a hard time finding mine. I have them all saved onto the hard drive in a folder specifically for them. I am missing some of my earliest avatars, though. Here's a pic:

I also have an archive of avatars that I have stocked up to use later.

I don't think you should change. I think the one you have is pretty good. Just needs an transparent background

I think users should include a link to any previous avatars. When most of them change an avatar, I've completely lost whoever they were (gone to the void of the Internet), and I'm essentially learning a new person now.

I'd do this, but my previous avatar was from my last computer and a few years ago. I'll check out Google for it though..

I don't think you should change. I think the one you have is pretty good. Just needs an transparent background

How does one make it transparent? I've been itching to switch, and I've got a good drawing that someone made for me that has an ugly white background.

open the picture with Gimp -> Colours -> Colour to Alpha -> "Select background colour" -> OK and voila

Where is select background color? Is that the same thing as "From _______ to alpha"?
