In which we discuss Avatars and custom user titles

My current avatar is, well, just downright odd. From the CIVor MP game here in CFC OT, it combines the English flag (my civ), the Taoism symbol (we won't go there), and the mighty furry crabs which live in my civ's land.

My first and long standing avatar was the Civ II ToT aircraft carrier. I also very briefly had a Purple Martin (I am a Purple Martin landlord every summer) and I think I was either Tinky Winky or Barney for a brief time.

My Current Avatar is XP-tan from the OS-tan fame (Look it up in Wikipedia ya lazy bumbs ). My long standing avatar was Major Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell Fame (I do plan to add the OS-tans, mainly my favorates XP-tan, 95-tan, and 2K-tan along in the avatar rotation with Major Kusanagi.

The title is in homage to XP-tan's hunger for memory. Though I wont mind if someone has a better latin translation for "Memory Eater" or simmilar. .

I've had this avatar for years. I rescue Basset Hounds, so I chose one as my avatar.

My title is a play on "Padma the Outbond", although he *was* known as "the Inbond" late in his life ....

My current avatar is Orrin Porter Rockwell, who served as bodyguard to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young at various times in his life. You may remember me from such past avatars as the Civ3 knight (my first, pre-custom), various astronomical themes, and a Sims 2 version of actress Thora Birch. My user title is a reference to an argument I made in one of the myriad gay marriage threads. I mention this only because they have both changed since the last one of these threads.

My avatar is an artists rendition of gas spiralling into a black hole. It's an awesome picture, and reflects my interest in astrophysics.

My title is simultaneously a Lovecraft reference, a description of my avatar (it's a black hole born from a collapsing star), and an allusion to the fact that people are literally made of the ashes of dead stars.

I have always thought these threads are little bit like sniffing your own farts.
Little bit self-gratification like these things should mean something to someone else than to the person in question.
