In Which we discuss Locations

In North Carolina until the morning of the 4th.

I am from Greensboro aka The GBC*, stuck in North Carolina, USA. And that's that.

*Yes, I "slangified" Greensboro. Feel free to Call it G'boro if you want to.

I've taken to writing it as GSO or GRO, depending on if I'm using the airport or Amtrak.

I've liked my time here, though. Then again, I've had it in small doses and I'm not quite ready to give up city living yet.* I had been accepted to UNCG for undergraduate and they gave me a fair aid package, so I won't rule it out when I'm considering an MBA.

*I say that as I stay here until the 4th then head to an exurb of the Twin Cities.

right now my location, title, and avvie are themed together.

however, for a while I had Mrs. Auga (the city I live in) there.

Interesting. They do have some good universities and colleges here, so it would probably be worth coming back for an MBA (especially at UNCG).

I'm very used to European cities, so when I came to the U.S. I couldn't quite classify Greensboro as a "real" city. I know that it is, but it is too suburban for me to classify it as one. Once I'm out of highschool I hope to move to a "true" city (again, all in my perspective).

The name of my country with an Eastern European twist, simply for my own amusement.

The worst state in the Union.

Alberta is the worst state in the union.

I'm in the glorious 'British Empire' and you can kind of guess where i live by looking at my posts.

Wales?

The 'famous airport' my location refers to is Luton Airport:

Wikipedia said:
Luton Airport is widely known as a result of the Airline and Luton Airport television series. Airline follows the staff of easyJet at Luton and the airlines other hubs across the country whilst the 2005 series, named after the airport followed the life of employees at the airport in a similar format to the show Airport which follows staff at London Heathrow Airport. The airport was also mentioned in a famous Campari advert featuring Lorraine Chase, with the punch line "Were you truly wafted here from paradise?". " Na Lut'n Airport". This advert was the inspiration for a 1979 UK hit by Cats U.K. entitled "Luton Airport". The airport was also mentioned in the Piranha Brothers sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus, as being the place where one of the brothers, Dinsdale, thinks that a giant hedgehog named Spiny Norman sleeps and the airport was featured in the February 2007 issue of Airline World Magazine. The article featuring the airport was about how it responded to the terror scares on 10 August 2006 and what measures were put in place.

It is a giant suburb, at least to me, given my very New York-centric perspective. But at least it's the only place with a couple of skyscrapers on the last few hours of an Amtrak ride from Penn Station.
