INES I: Anno Domini

Does Army Size affect training? I checked the rules and must have missed something. I'll have my orders in shortly after I get an answer to that question :)

I'm sorry Imago. I can't get into this NES anymore and I have to work on others. I really wish I could continue, but I can't say that this has really kept my attention so I'm dropping it. Goodluck though, I hope it is successful and maybe if I get more time I can contribute to it later. Again I apologize and I really hate myself for leaving, but I need to reporitize what I can do and what I can't. Best wishes

:( I guess I'll have to start advertizing for Byzantium, again. (Interestingly, though, your leaving-the-game speech is about six times as long as one of the pairs of orders I have. )

No. Not directly at least, though if you grow your army too quickly, there will be training penalties.

I shall consider taking the Byzantine Empire. Nothing definite yet, though... Until then, as a friendly word of advice, try and fill the map up a bit, if only with barbarians. Its near-emptiness in certain places was what largely scared me away previously. ;) (Well, that and the fact that I tend to preffer later settings, but meh, variety, in NESing at least, is good.)

I thought it would be easier to leave all unclaimed territory white. But, if changing the map so that concentrated amounts of barbarians are grey is what it takes for you to join, I will.

Technically me joining deosn't depend as much on the barbarians, but adding them would be appreciated. I suppose I'm just too used to Jason's, NK's and my own maps, which tend to be more filled up.

I agree das about the barbarians shown onm maps. I was or have said that before. Can't recall.

But do join. It looks promising.

@das: More countries will pop up as existing nations well, prod, at barbarian lands. That was a facet of the game I determined a while ago, as I came to the same conclusion you did, but didn't want to create the extra work of making massive amounts of NPCs.

(And yes, I second Luckymoose's statement. Give this NES a try. Four more people will probably join, even if you just join and quit.)

And on a completely different note, 5/9 orders in.

Despite its slightly weaker status, I would like to switch to Byzantium if there are no objections, mainly because I know much more about Greek culture than Jewish and will generally be able to play it more realistically than a Jewish nation. Orders will be in today.

Sure. Just remember that KrimzonStriker and carmen510 signed an alliance, which is still in effect.

(And I know you like to NES as Israel, das. One more reason for you to join.)

Orders sent. Joe, I declared war on you. Just so you know.

Hmph. Maybe I was specifically interested in Byzantium this time? :p Ah well, at least now I won't feel guilty about dragging LittleBoots out of the Austro-Hungarian army... We'll see what I can do. ;)

Fair enough. Lets see how does one fight a nation that does not exist. ;)

It is a virtual war.

6/9 orders. Come on, people, keep them comming.

And somebody, just take Israel. It's the focal point of more or less the entire NES!

You have Israel, and Axum, their near puppet state. Not to mention the Egyptian states, which together have the same production as you, and don't really like you all that much.

@ The Farow: Yes, you're a republic. It says so on the nation description of your stats, which you copied, and pasted, and sent with your orders. ;)

Everything east of Persia is done; update so far is seven pages long.

(Get those orders in, three-people-who-haven't-done-so-yet.)

If I can send orders tommorow, I probably will take Israel. I like the modern one better, but ancient Israel can, with only a few changes here and there, be twisted into something very evil indeed (hell, it was quite silveresque in OTL if the Bible is to be trusted - sex, incest and genocide!)...
